Bellabox May Review 2015

I've decided I'm going to call the 'unboxings' 'reviews' now seeing as I record my unboxing and this is just my added input of what was inside of the box. My thoughts on the overall box for May - It was a great box filled with goodies I am excited to use - and already using the products. This months box was a collaboration with Pop Sugar and focused on highlighting certain areas.
 Lets get into the box!

Romy Nouveau Moisturising Body Balm
'...rich moisturising ingredients to hydrate and nourish your skin'
This body balm feels and smells so good. Its got the scent of Eucalyptus and Lemongrass which is a wonderful combination. Its fresh and rejuvenating and I'd probably consider buying the full size. But seeing as I own many body balms/lotions, thats something that I can think of later.
Full Cost $38.00 300ml

John Frieda Frizz Ease Unwind Curls Calming Creme
'...Fight frizz of any hair type'
I personally don't have frizzy hair, I have wavy hair so I have no use of this but I gave it to my sister who has frizzy wavy hair. She seemed happy about it but not excited as shes into books and is quite a nerd.
Full Price: $15.99 Available at Priceline

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisture Rich Night Cream
'...help promote a softer, smoother and younger looking complexion'
As you all know, I have a deep love for PCBF and the brand never ceases to let me down so I was excited to try out a new product by them and I just LOVE this night cream. Its hydrating but not too hydrating. Its the perfect amount for that 'I've just taken off my makeup and cleansed my face now lets add some moisture back into my skin' look.
Full Price: $15.99 Available at Priceline

Shanghai Suzy Lipstick - Miss Courtney Electric Flamingo
'...for the perfect on-trend, bold matte lip.'
I don't own anything by Shanghai Suzy but I've always wanted something by them. Lets start off with my love for the packaging. Its so classy and neat. Its easy to tell what colour it is and the lip closes securely. Now for the colour, not something I'd personally choose but I threw out a bright pink a few months back and I've regretted it ever since and have been trying to find a replacement and I think this is it. I will soon be doing a look based on this lip colour.
RRP: $12.95

Chella Cinnamon Highlighter Pencil
'...perfect for contouring'
I agree with the bellabox team that this pencil is perfect for contouring. However. After swatching it on my hand and playing with it, I find that this product is incredibly hard to blend out and leaves a harsh line so I don't really like this product.
RRP: $24.95

BONUS: J Bronze Face Flawless Tan
I'm, not a fan of this. 1 - I don't tan because I personally don't like the look on me. 2- I dom't thnk the face is a place where tan should go.

NYX Le Chic FLick Mascara Review

I've never tried a NYX mascara before, but when I found one for sale cheap I picked it right up.

The NYX Le Chick Flick Mascara is such a natural looking mascara that it is perfect for almost any look. On my lashes personally it only looks as if I've applied a coat of mascara (well obviously) with hardly any effort, and thats quite honestly how I like the look. I don't like my lashes too clumpy but just natural looking.

This mascara also is pretty great at seperating and lengthening the lashes.

It also comes off quite easily too which is a plus.

Would I buy this mascara again? For sure!

Australis Go Camo Review

Oh boy is this Concealer amazing.

Out of all concealers I have ever used I can for sure say that this one is the most Full Coverage just like it claims to be.

You only need the tiniest little squeeze of it, and a little goes a really long way.

It is a little bit tacky but nothing too extreme.

This concealer really does hide any imperfections you have on your skin.

This concealer is definatley worth the cheap price and is probably one i will certainly buy again.

Empties #2

Time for another 'shit I'm throwing out' post. Just incase any of you were curious as to what I am throwing in my bin this week.

First item thats going in the bin is my old eyelash curler that I just bought at Daiso. Nothing too special about it. I have naturally curled lashes so I don't often use my curler too regularly and this was just getting old and I need a replacement.

All of these lipsticks either make my teeth more yellow than they are, or have no colour pay off and thats the reason why I am throwing them out.

I've had this for about a year and its just gone rock hard. As you can see in the picture you can see where I've forced my nail into it. Into the bin eyeliner.

I got this about 2 months ago to do one job, sharpen the pencils. It broke one cause its just not a very smooth operating sharpener.

Finally onto products I've actually used. I used this Moisturizing Day Cream by Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula and one it smelt delightful and two it left my skin feeling so good.

I had a love hate relationship with this mascara as you can read from my review here. The top lash mascara was difficult to use, and the lower lash mascara was easier to use. It has started to go clumpy so I'm throwing it out.

I am in love with this mascara. Its hands down one of my favourites by Essence just behind the (Big Lash Effect?) You can read my review on it here.

This product came in my first ever bellabox and to be honest...I tried using it but I'm just not feeling it. It tastes like crap and the colour just isn't pink enough. Its too red.

These are my Holy Grail wipes. I buy them all the time and will most likely buy them again. (Unless WotNot is cheaper....)

I was sorting through my drawers one day and found this, I had honestly forgot I had it. These wipes are fantastic, and - actually I did a review on them, here ya go

So there! Thats all the junk I'm throwing in the bin.

ColorPop Haul!

Yaaay more Color Pop goodies!

After my first Color Pop order I was so impressed by their fast shipping and of course the quality of the products, and as I use them basically almost everyday I decided to buy some more. Heres what I got!

The main thing I wanted to try out this time around in my order was their infamous Lippie Stix. And I am yet to fully use them so I will be doing a proper in depth review on them both soon. But I love them both. I got Frida Which is a my lips but better colour (Top colour) and Westie which is a bit more pinker than I had expected it to be but I still love it.

I only bought 2 Super Shock Shadows this time around and I am yet to use the coral. The Silver (Liberty) it ULTRA pigmented and such a great colour that I want to use the ultimate crap out of it and I want to buy more formulas. The coral is called Animal and is a super nice cool coral shade and is just what I wanted.

Excuse my incredibly hairy arms (thanks Dad for your genes <3) But swatches from top; Frida, Westie, Liberty and Animal.

There is so much more I want to buy from Color Pop. I love them so much they have never failed or let me down yet!

Current Wishlist:

Lippie Stix:
Fighter
Cookie
Lumiere
Fetch

Shadow Shock:
Feather
Coconut
Daddy
Taco
Downtown
Hanky Panky
Desert
Glowstix
Fizz
Ibiza
Roulette
Girl Crush

Haul - Maybelline, Essie and Covergirl

Wow its been a while since I've posted a haul on my blog. So I thought I'd may as well post this one, and another one will be coming on Friday as I want to put that one out of the way too.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation in Buff (?)
Its in Buff something. Just can't think of the name off the top of my head. I'm quite excited to use this foundation. One of my favourite YouTuber's (Lindsay Hughes) swears by this foundation and I've read a few reviews saying bloggers swear by it too. Review should be coming in the next month.
  Target: $19.95

Maybelline Master Smokey by Eye Studio
I got this as a freebie from Priceline after spending $25 on Maybelline. Its a gift from Maybelline as it is their 100th anniversary. I didn't get to choose what I got. But this is what was in my 'Lucky Dip'. And I'm not too excited about it, as its something I wouldn't buy myself. But I may use it, haven't quite decided on if I want to use it yet.
Priceline/Maybelline: Free

Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencil in Minimalist
In store, this looked like such a nice colour. Unfortunately, when I got home and swatched it, I didn't quite love it so much. Its really frosty and I don't like frost finishes. So this was a bummer purchase by me.
Priceline: 30% off Original Price

Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes
This is hands down my favourite mascara by Maybelline. It grabs every lash and gives a really nice look to the lashes. This is like my fourth repurchase of the mascara and I will continue to buy it.
Priceline: 30% off Original Price

Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder
I'm starting to run low on my loose powder and as I'm never repurchasing that one again due to personal reasons with the shop owner, I decided I might try a new one. This powder, I already tried on my face and it is such a fine powder, fine-r than the one I'm using now. It doesn't leave your face feeling cakey, and it feels like you don't have powder on because it is so soft.
Target: $11.49 On Sale - Originally $16.95

Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer Base
I tested this in store and almost bought it a while ago but held myself back. This primer is amazing. I'm going to do a review on it so I'm not going to go into full detail but just say you need to test this for yourself.
Priceline: 30% off Original Price

Essie Nail Lacquer in Eternal Optomist
I got a coupon for Essie where I could get $5 off them and I had to use it the day I got it, so I went in store and this was the first shade I saw and had to get it. Its the perfect nude for me. I'd say its Kylie Jenner's Lip Colour in a Nail Polish format. Its just great. Also excuse my chipped nails in the picture.
Priceline: $16.95 + $5 Off Coupon

15 Facts About Maybelline

As it is Maybelline's 100th Anniversary, I thought it would be interesting to do some research on the brand and figure out around 15 facts about the brand. Lets goooo!

  1. Maybelline was discovered by a 19 year old man by the name of Tom Lyle Williams in 1915.
  2. He watched his sister Mabel apply a mixture of vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give a more in depth look, and decided to experiment that with chemicals and soon after came his first product, lash-in-brow-line.
  3. In case you haven't been able to tell, he named the company after his sister who gave him the inspiration.
  4. Their first mascara was the first ever created called Maybelline Cake Mascara which came out in 1917, and their second mascara was called Ultra Lash in the 1960's
  5. In 1967 Williams sold the company to Schering-Plough.
  6. In 1990 Schering-Plough sold the company to Wasserstein Perella & Co. Who is it still with at this point.
  7. Their makeup factory is in Brooklyn.
  8. Maybelline got its massive boost when Lynda Carter (Former Wonder Woman) became its beauty and fashion coordinator. (Not sure why fashion also, but thats what the internet says.
  9. Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr and Sarah Michelle Gellar are just a few of the former faces of Maybelline.
  10. The current faces of Maybelline are; Christy Turlington, Jessica White, Erin Wasson, Jourdon Dunn just to name a few.
  11. In 1991 the brand came up with the slogan 'Maybe shes born with it, Maybe its Maybelline'
  12. In 1996 L'Oreal bought Maybelline
  13. Brands associated with L'Oreal do not test on animals.
  14. L'Oreal also owns; Garnier, Lancome, Redken, Giorgio Armani, The Body Shop, Ralph Lauren and Urban Decay just to name a few.
  15. A few lines Maybelline have are; Eye Studio, Fit Me, Color Sensational
Bonus Point:

Their most popular products are their Baby Lips and their Dream Pure BB Cream Range.

I found this rather fun. I think I might do more research on other brands and do some 15 points on other brands too.

No Bellabox For April

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about the Bellabox review of the month.

Truth is, I spent too much money last month and didn't have enough in my paypal or bank account (which is linked to my paypal) to pay for the Bellabox, therefore I am not recieving one for April.

Which sucks. But I bought Mum the mothers day box they had and she loved it so I kinda did get a box in a way, but just not for me.

I am in no way affiliated with Bellabox though I do contact them from time to time.

Because I am not recieving a box for this month, I am doing an unboxing of my items I bought from Colourpop when I recieve them which should be either this week or next week, because its been 2 weeks since I bought them.

Wait I just got the parcel. Unboxing will come this weekend!
