Tutorial: Inked In Pink

Hey Beauties,

So this is my second post for the night, I apologise if 4 posts tonight is too much, but I'm wanting to stick to my weekly schedule and have all these posts up.

Anyway, this is the look I wear when using Maybelline's Inked in Pink Colour Tattoo which is a totally amazing cream eyeshadow.

For the look I used:

Naked 1 & 2

Inked in Pink Colour Tattoo (Well duh, its what the tutorial is about)

Natural Collection Eyeshadow - Milk Chocolate - best crease colour ever.

Essence - More to Love OR Face of Australia - Macaron

To get this look:

Crease: Milk Chocolate/Verve
Outter V: Toasted
Lid: Sin/Inked in Pink
Lower Lash: Hustle

On my lips I am wearing Macaron.

Hope you enjoyed!

Keep smiling,
xobrontie

Review: Urban Decay Mariposa Palette

Hey Beauties,

Today I'm bringing you a review on a palette that I've been meaning to review for a long time, Urban Decay's Mariposa Palette (Correct me if I spell the name wrong, I tend to do that with this palette).

This palette may not be the legit thing, as I bought this from ebay for my birthday last year for a cheap price of $22.

This palette to me, out of all I own is hands down the most versitile, as it has a decent amount of bright and neutral colours. I don't use this palette that often, but I save it for occasions when I want a glamorous look as I just don't want to touch it because its just so pretty! Even the packaging itself is a total stunner.

The palette comes with 10 different shades, I will underline my favorites in this palette as I have quite a few; Rockstar, Gunmetal, Skimp, Infamous, Wreckage, Haight, Money, Mushroom, Spotlight, Limelight.

As you can see from the swatches, which hasn't been edited, they are all highly pigmented, no eyeshadow base was used either.

This palette is perfect for a night out clubbing, as you can create many dramatic looks with it. If you'd like to see a tutorial for this just say so and I'll be more than happy to make one.

Keep Smiling,

Chi Chi Nudes vs Urban Decay Naked

Hey Beauties,

A friend and I have recently noticed how similar the Chi Chi Nudes palette is to the Urban Decay Naked palette so we decided to switch them side by side and do a post comparing them both.

I have done a post in the past reviewing the Chi Chi Nudes Palette and you can read about it Here. Its a palette I recommend to any one who cannot afford the Urban Decay Naked. It retails at $24.95 and you can purchase it through Myer or Target.

The swatches shown have got the Chi Chi shadow on the left, and the Urban Decay on the right.
The first image has the real Gunmetal to show how accurate the colours are.

Gunmetal: (Original) This shade is a dark charcoal grey with shimmers. (Naked) The shadow isn't as pigmented and appears more brown once applied. (Chi Chi) Not as Shimmery and is more of a smokey colour.

Creep: (Naked) A deep metallic dark brown. Appears as a black in box. (Chi Chi) Shows as more of an olive toned brown. (Apologies for crap photo.)

Hustle: (Naked) A Golden Chocolate brown, with a pearl finish. (Chi Chi) Grey toned Chocolate brown, pearl finish.

Toasted: (Naked) A golden syrup/honey type colour, with warm tones, metallic finish. (Chi Chi) A caramel shade, pearl finish. (Again, sorry crap photo)

Darkhorse: (Naked) A pure dark chocolate, with a gold appearance. Pearl finish. (Chi Chi) More of an olive golden brown, pearl finish.

Smog: (Naked) Brown toned Copper. Metallic finish. (Chi Chi) More of a pink toned copper. Metallic finish.

Half Baked: (Naked) Golden caramel, metallic finish. (Chi Chi) Pink toned caramel, metallic finish.

Buck: (Naked) Warmer tanned brown. Matte Finish. (Chi Chi) Basic Tanned Brown. Matte Finish.

Sidecar: (Naked) Pink toned light brown, metallic finish. (Chi Chi) More light brown and less pink toned, metallic finish.

Naked: (Naked) Suntanned colour (Is that even a colour?!) Matte finish. (Chi Chi) Lighter, more flesh toned, matte finish.

Sin: (Naked) Pink Champagne. Nuff said. Pearl finish. (Chi Chi) More creamy, not so pink. Pearl finish.

(Like a) Virgin: (Naked) Nude. Bit lighter than my skintone. Pearl finish. (Chi Chi) Same as Naked. But more shimmerry.

Have you found a difference that we couldn't find? We found it hard just to simply word it!

Keep Smiling,

xobrontie....and Jenna :3
