2014 Grammy Red Carpet Hits

Hey Beauties,

So I finally got to watch the Grammy's last night, and all I can say was that there was some hits and some misses. So I'm going to share with you the outfits I liked and why I liked them, and the ones I didn't love so much.

Taylor Swift's outfit was my favorite of the night. Her Gucci dress makes her look slender and extremely tall. She quoted this dress to be 'extremely heavy' and 'everything you think it would be' (weight, texture wise)

Skylar Grey is an artist I've actually never heard of, but her outfit just makes me look twice. Is she naked or is she wearing a dress? The dress is too pale that it just blends in with the skin. The dress itself is nice, I'll give her that, it forms her body perfectly, but I think if it was more pink toned I'd love this a whole lot more.

Sarah Hyland (Haley from Modern Family) Never ceases to amaze me when it comes to fashion. She always looks stunning. And tonight was no exception. I love her dress its the perfect length for her and I feel like it shows her height perfectly too - that probably sounds weird, but it doesn't make her look too short or too tall either. The clean v neck is perfect, its not too revealing its just right. I just feel like it needs to be more fitted in the bust area, then flow down. Because it almost looks like a piece of material is just...laying on her.

Oh Miss Ariana Grande. You and your florals. Its all you ever bloody wear. Don't get me wrong, I love florals, but Ariana just wears them all the time. Expect Ariana to turn up to the Grammy's in a floral dress, hey. To me, this dress looks like something I have seen her wear a ton of times before and I feel like she could have been more creative with the dress and chosen something different. Ariana's dress was designed by Dolce and Gobanna.

Now onto a few special mentionings. Last night when I was strolling through my instagram feed (Follow me @xobrontie), I saw some of my youtubers I follow attended as a part of Covergirl's team (Katy Perry and P!nk's makeup was done by Covergirl) The youtubers that attended were Meredith Foster (Stilababe09), DulceCandy (Forgot her first name, sorry!) and Megan Parken (Meganheartsmakeup)

They all looked gorgeous and they all have get ready with me videos up on their youtubes, which I am about to go check out! After I eat my curry :3

Who did you love and hate at this years Grammy's?

Keep Smiling

Priceline Bargain Bin Haul

Hey Beauties,

Okay I just love Priceline. Yes theres one store that ticks me off, it was mainly that person, but who cares. It was a one off moment and I've sorted it out.

Anyway, I had to drop off my sister outside of Priceline the other day, and while I was with her waiting for her friend to come, I just casually looked at the front bins for bargains.

And what the hell did I find?

"All Makeup $1"

ONE. FREAKING. DOLLAR.

Could I pass that up? Er, No.

So I tried to not go overboard. I controlled myself, which I'm proud of *pats self on back* and I only spent $7

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat - RRP - $9.95 (Chemist Warehouse Pricing)So these nail polishes are kinda new on the market, only been on shelves for like, what, 2 months? So I kinda shat myself when I saw these in there. They had all the colours in there but I didn't know when I'd wear the white and red so I passed them up. But I picked up (From Left) Razzleberry, Bubble Plum, Sour Apple and Lick-O-Rich.

Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Eyeshadow - Discontinued
I saw these in my Target at the clearance section and I always almost buy them, but of course they were cheaper at Priceline, so I bought it. I forgot what shade I got it in though. I think it may be Snap Attack?

Revlon Colorstay Lip Butter - RRP - $21.95$22 reduced to $1. Could I really pass that up? No I don't think so! I got this in the shade Gumdrop which is very sheer with a hint of pink.

Essence Silky Touch Blush - RRP - $4.95 (correct me if I'm wrong?)
I picked this up and I was like "OMG ITS BABYDOLL I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS EVERYWHERE" and I took it home and it turns out I own Babydoll.....totally awkward.....

But yeah, I picked up some AMAZING bargains at Priceline this time around. I suggest that you go and check out your local Priceline for some amazing bargains too?

Expect to see another haul either this weekend or next week.

Also I want to quickly apologise to you all. I haven't been sticking to my posting schedule. So at the moment I'm just going to post whenever I can. I have some major health concerns going on and I need to focus on getting myself right. Post coming about my health concerns tomorrow.

So if you could all support me while I'm being tested for a bunch of stuff (Its nothing bad I don't have cancer - already been tested for that.) that would be great. Its kinda hard and its taking a toll on me emotionally.

Thanks guys,

Keep Smiling,

xobrontie

Bellabox January 2014

Hey Beauties,

To be honest, I was really not excited to be receiving my bellabox this month, as the past few boxes...honestly have been quite shit and repetitive, and after seeing Sarah and Kat's review on this months box, I was like, 'Seriously?'

Okay let me explain quickly. I don't dislike this box, I quite like it, I'm just sick and tired of seeing these brands in beauty boxes. I subscribed for one reason. To try out new brands. Avene has been in sooo many bloody boxes recently and Model Co has been in waaaaayy too many beauty boxes over the past 3-4 months and I'm sick and tired of seeing them.

Model Co Fat Lash Volumising Mascara RRP: $20.00:
This stuff stinks. Of. Alcohol. Like pure vodka. I'm not looking forward to using this 1 because of the smell, 2 - I just really freaking hate Model Co. Its a crappy cheap ass brand and the quality is crap, I just don't personally like it. On the positive side I like the brush.

Avene Soothing Moisture Mask & Rich Hydrating Cream:
I will not be using the cream as it is made specifically for those with sensitive skin/dry skin and I'm neither of those. I have very oily skin, so its already been decided that I'll be giving this to my mother. However, I am looking forward to trying the mask. I bought quite a few masks yesterday :3

(Sample) Palmolive Ayurituel Joyous Shower Gel:
This stuff, smells amazing. Like seriously, if it works wonders too, I will probably buy the full size cause it just has an amazing sweet scent, thats not overly too sweet.

Yes To Carrots C Me Shine Lip Gloss in Rose Bliss RRP: $14.95:
I hate squeezy tubes like this, I can't stand them, I don't know why but I just don't prefer to use them. I haven't actually tried anything by the Yes To range, and I didn't actually know they had makeup, I thought it was only skincare, but I guess I was wrong! This would be lovely to pair with a nude lip.

Coconut Revolution - Coconut Body Cream:
I've really been into body cream/butter/moisturizers lately so I will be getting alot of use out of this.

BONUS: WotNot Facial Wipes:
I find it funny that I bought wipes earlier on today, to come home to find some in my bellabox! I haven't used these wipes before or anything from this brand but I have heard of them. I'll be using these pretty soon.

Overall I thought this box was great, just sick and tired of seeing the same brand.

Keep Smiling,

xobrontie

Tutorial: Inked In Pink

Hey Beauties,

So this is my second post for the night, I apologise if 4 posts tonight is too much, but I'm wanting to stick to my weekly schedule and have all these posts up.

Anyway, this is the look I wear when using Maybelline's Inked in Pink Colour Tattoo which is a totally amazing cream eyeshadow.

For the look I used:

Naked 1 & 2

Inked in Pink Colour Tattoo (Well duh, its what the tutorial is about)

Natural Collection Eyeshadow - Milk Chocolate - best crease colour ever.

Essence - More to Love OR Face of Australia - Macaron

To get this look:

Crease: Milk Chocolate/Verve
Outter V: Toasted
Lid: Sin/Inked in Pink
Lower Lash: Hustle

On my lips I am wearing Macaron.

Hope you enjoyed!

Keep smiling,
xobrontie

Review: Model's Prefer Sweet Kisses Review

Hey Beauties,

Small apology - I am uploading up to 4 posts tonight, because of my schedule. I won't be able to post on the weekend due to a friend staying and I want these posts to be up.

Now correct me if I've named this product wrong cause I swear I have and I'm way too lazy to get up and check (Its been 35 degrees in Hobart all day okay!!)

My best friend recently bought me the Sweet Kisses palette and I thought I might share my opinions on this. Its something I'm rather dissapointed by, and that I am really considering throwing out.

The Packaging:

The packaging (No photo included, sorry) is in a sturdy metal container, once opened, there are the eyeshadows, and once you lift the eyeshadows up, there is another layer, with the blush and other additional extras.

The packaging is fine, theres nothing wrong with it. In fact I think its very good. The only thing I don't like about it is how thick and bulky it is. It's taken up most of my palette draw and I can barely close it anymore.

The Eyeshadows:

 Just looking at the image, the shadows remind me of the Sephora Disney Princess Palettes. Hehe, now onto my views;

Buttercream, Almond Nougat, Cherry Ripe and Honey Crunch.
Butter Cream: Light Shimmery Cream.
Almond Nougat: Soft Baby Pink
Cherry Ripe: Matte Burgandy/Brown
Honey Crunch: Golden Shimmery High Pigmented

Toffee, Cocoa, Strawberry Cream, Caramel
 Toffee: Golden Syrup/Brown Shimmer
Cocoa: Hot Chocolate, High Pigmented.
Strawberry Cream: Matte Light Pink
Caramel: Light brown, hardly any pigmentation

Chocolate Whip, Pistachio, Black Forest, Praline
 Chocolate Whip: Warm Matte Brown
Pistachio: Pearlie Kermit Green, highly pigmented
Black Forest: Semi Deep Purple, Highly Pigmented
Praline: Shimmery

I stupidly deleted the last photo (Smart one) So heres the reviews on them anyway;

Truffle: Soft Shimmery Brown, highly pigmented
Mint Slice: Aqua Green, highly pigmented
Maple Fudge: Navy Blue, Highly Pigmented
Dark Cluster: Soft Grey.

I overall wasn't impressed with the eyeshadows and the main ones that were pigmented, I already had similar colours. So this didn't even win me over.

Below is where it dissapointed me the most. The blushes had NO pigmentation at all and the mascara was completely dried up so I ended up throwing that in the bin. The applicator was stiff as, and the primer seems to be the only thing that was fine.

I'm seriously not happy at all in this palette, and probably won't use it for much longer.

This has put me off Model's Prefer. I haven't tried anything else by them, but I don't plan to try anything from them in the future if this is the result of their products.

Anyway, I'm gonna go cook some fried rice cause I feel like some. Yummo.

Keep Smiling,

xobrontie

3 Ways To Wear Gunmetal.

Hey Beauties.

If you have the Naked 1 Palette, you have the shade 'Gunmetal' in there. Its a shimmery blackish grey eyeshadow with alot of sparkle.

And if your like me, you must ask yourself this question all the time.

"How the eff do I wear this?"

So. I've challenged myself to create 3 eyeshadow looks using this shade.

Creation One:

I like to call this look the 'Casual Black Eye' - Because thats really all it is. All I did was place gunmetal all over my lid, and used a matte black (I used Blackout) in my crease.

Creation 2:

'Dramatic Smokey Eye' - Yes I used no eyeliner or mascara in this look, heck, I don't even have foundation on because I was at home all day and I was not putting makeup on just to take photos of my eyes. But for this look I used Nyx's Pots and Pans Jumbo pencil as a base, Sugarpill's Tiara on top, Gunmetal in the outter v and Blackout in the crease.

Creation 3:

The 'All Natural'...I think I might even wear this tomorrow...Hmph - Anyway, on the lid is Half Baked, with Gunmetal in the outter v and a mixture of hustle and creep in the crease.

I hope these looks gave you some idea on how you could rock gunmetal. It has really made me love the shade a whole lot more.

Keep Smiling,

Review: Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish

Hey Beauties,

I never normally would do a post or a review on nail polishes, but I've been super impressed with Sally Hansen's new nail polish range, the Triple Shine.

It takes alot for a nail polish to impress me. It has to have a good brush, good formula, good drying time (I'm impatient), and last me about 3 days before chipping. And this one ticked most of those boxes.

The nail polish comes in a 10ml bottle. Which is a pretty decent amount of nail polish, comparing it to Essie's 13.5ml and Essence's 8ml.

The brush itself is hidden under the lid, the bottle seems to remind me of the Butter London packaging with the way you lift the lid to reveal the brush. The handle of the brush is pretty big and round and its easy to hold onto and apply your nail polish. The brush itself (Which I just remembered I should've taken a photo of, silly me) reminds me of an Essence brush. Its nice and big, and easy to apply the nail polish.

The nail polish formula itself is pretty thick, not thin like some nail polishes can be. Its also not gluggy - if thats even a word applys like a breeze. It takes up to 2 coats to be fully opaque.

If your wondering about the scent, its not a rich smell at all. Its a pretty neutral scent and is bearable.

The nail polish drys within about 2 minutes which is good for most beauty gurus who absolutley hate waiting for the nail polish to dry.

The range comes in 26 shades to choose from. The colour shown is Dive In.

You can purchase these polishes at all Sally Hansen Retailer and they are currently (As of 13/1/2014) on sale at Priceline for $6.95 - Retails for $9.95

I can certainly see myself buying some more from this range, I've already got my eye on: Sparks Fly, Slick Black (Can never have too many blacks), and Clam Up.

Dive In paired with Essence's English Rose

Glam it up by adding Sparkles. Used: Dior 010, OPI Save Me, Nicole By OPI Stars At Night

Have you tried Sally Hansen's new range? What do you think?

Keep Smiling,

The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag

Hey Beauties,

I saw lucysparkle do this tag a couple of days ago and I thought it was a really interesting tag and I wanted to give it a go.

Rules:
1. Thank the tagger and link them in the post.
2. State that this tag was created by The Beau Bow.
3. Copy and paste the rules.
4. Tag some more beauty bloggers and link them to the post.
5. Title this The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Post
so readers know what the post is about.
6. Have fun!
1 - Name a beauty regime you rarely do?
I have 2, so I'll name them both. I rarely paint my toe nails. Mainly cause I'm lazy, and I'm so tall that its hard to reach them and when I do, do them I do a messy job, and I'm always wearing the same pair of closed in shoes. I also rarely commit to my skin routine. I know. I'm bad. Its terrible. Like I cleanse my face in the shower, but I rarely exfoliate, but I'm trying to get into a routine!!
2 - Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
This is going to sound gross, but no. I only do it every 2 weeks. Mainly because I use a sponge to apply my foundation and I replace that each week, and I always use the same eyeshadow brush for that current colour. And I'm also lazy.
3 - How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
A week. I paint my nails every Sunday night, and I let them go for a week. Sometimes if I can be bothered I will tidy them up, or I will change them, but I'll let them go for a week most of the time.
4 - How long will you put off buying/replacing a makeup/nail polish even if you really need it?
It depends on the product. At the moment I'm looking out for a new Concealer as I'm running out. But most of the time I will have backups. I will buy my favorite items when they are on sale, especially my foundation as its Revlon and its $30 so I buy that when its on sale. I wait for my products to come on sale then I buy. I'm a bargain hunter. If I need it, I will buy it though.
5 - What is your worst beauty habit?
Prepare to be grossed out, but I scratch at my acne, I pull it off, which it BAD I KNOW. But I've done it since I was a kid and its a habit. I have scars as a result, but yeah. And I also scratch my scalp until it bleeds sometimes - but that is mainly cause of dry scalp and it gets itchy. I'm not so bad with that anymore.
6 - Name something non beauty related that you pull off?
Ooh, eer, I'm a great cook, I'm a fantastic photographer (See my photography here), I'm very creative, I can repair computers, probably way more but I'm at a total blank right now.
7 - When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute or not?
Sometimes! It takes me about 30minutes to get ready, sometimess 45 minutes, but I can get ready in 15 if I had to. But most of the time I get ready about an hour before hand. Oh God I should do the 5 minute makeup challenge. YES. I shall!
8 - Can you commit to a spending ban?
At the moment I have put a spending ban on myself. Not to buy as much makeup. I'm giving myself a $20 max to spend money on makeup for 3 months and I know what I'm buying with it. Concealer and items from the new Essence collection. Which I'm buying after I post this. And I'm doing well. I'm thinking of doing project pan sometime this year? But I don't know. If I did my 'pan' products would be a limit of 5 or 7 as I'm no where near finishing half of my stuff.
9 - How organised is your makeup collection?
I'm a tad OCD so its VERY organised. I am planning on a collection tour in about March.
10 - What is the longest amount of time you went without writing a blogpost?
One week. When I was in Melbourne last year for a week I didn't post at all. Apart from that I post like a nut!
Now its time to tag some beauty bloggers. I've tagged you all on instagram so I'd love if you gave it a go!
Mal/Malinda at Corrupted By Society - Shes my real life friend, go check her out!

And whoever else wants to do this tag!
Keep Smiling

Summer Must Haves!

Hey Beauties,

So I know that Summer arrives a while ago, but to be honest, it has only just started to become warm in Tasmania. Cause apparently this year is meant to be the coldest year we have had or something like that. But when I am posting this, it has been 35 degrees, and during this week it is meant to stick between 23 - 31 which is absolutley beautiful. I've been waiting (and dreading) for this weather to come about.

Why dreading? I'm seriously more of a winter girl than a summer girl. I don't like tans, and I don't tan, I hate the sticky feeling, I hate the fact that I sweat, if its a warm day with a top of 25, its fine, but over that I just - Nope. Don't like it. And I know, how un-Australian of me! But we all have our own opinions, right?

So heres what I've included. Some things aren't pictured in the...picture, mainly cause it was late and I really could not be bothered trying to set it all up, but I think you get the overall idea.

Sunscreen: This is a definate must have for the summer. You don't want to be getting burnt (Unless your like me and get burnt even when you have sunscreen on e.e) and you want to be protecting your body from the rays of the sun. I'm showing the Banana Boat Mineral Protect Sunscreen which I got in my Bellabox a few months back.

BB Cream: You don't really want to be wearing heavy, cakey make-up in the summer time, so its probably best to wear something lighter. If you have a light foundation thats fine too, but I'd prefer the BB Cream as its pretty good for the skin. I'm featuring Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream with 2% Salycilic Acid, which is my chosen favorite.

Sunglasses: No one likes squinty eyeballs, lets just face it, not that attractive, sunglasses are another great way to protect yourself from the sun, I'm unsure where I got mine from as they were purchased second hand, but I think they may possibly be Jay Jays (They look like a pair they would sell in my opinion)

Cardigan: This is one item not shown in the picture. I'm only suggesting a cardigan as it may cool down of the night time, and, I don't know if this happens anywhere else, but at Tasmania, our beaches get freezing. So its just a good little extra to have just to have as a just-in-case item.

Long Lasting Lipstick: You don't want to be re-applying your lips while your at the beach, heck, your lipstick would most likely get sandy while at the beach so why would you take it in the first place? Beats me. Anyway, I've included the only long lasting lipsticks I own, which are both from the Rimmel Kate Moss Collection, The black one is in Shade 04, which is a dark purple, my very first lipstick purchase (I went through a goth phase, okay!) and I think the other one is in 104 or 106, its the nude pink shade - Yes it was going to be in a giveaway but I've decided on another one.

Thongs: Flip-Flops, Sandals, whatever you want to call them, I call them thongs, these are a must have for hanging down at the beach. I suprisingly only have 3 pairs, 2 of which are mens (I find them comfortable I cannot stand womens ones) Wait no I own 4, I forgot about my seafolly ones, whoops.

Hair Accesories: Hair ties, bobby pins, hair bands, whatever. I've recently had my hair all cut off - post coming soon about that, but I know what its like when its summer, and its boiling hot and all your saying is "HAIR GET THE F#$K OFF MY BODY" so it just makes sense to put it up right?

Anyway, they are my main essentials for summer. What would your main item be? Is there something I forgot, there probably is.

Keep Smiling,

xobrontie

The Perfect Palette Tag

Hey Beauties,

Today I am doing the 'Perfect Palette Tag' which I have been seeing everyone doing recently. I have not been tagged by anyone to do it, but I thought I may as well do it anyway, just cause I can :P

I have included one quad in this tag which I'm not sure if it is against the rules, but I see quads as mini palettes so I'm sure it would be fine.

Best Packaging:

I love the packaging of Naked 2. Its sleek, its basic and its clean. And its probably the one that stands out the most out of all the palettes I own.

Best Colour Payoff:

The pigmentation of Maybelline's Sapphire Siren is just incredible for a drugstore product. Its long lasting and a little can go a long way.

Most Versitile:

Like I stated in yesterdays review, the Mariposa palette has a perfect selection of neutrals and brights.

Best for Travel:

Excuse the very dirty packaging, it is very much loved, but the best for travel in my opinion is Lancome's Marquiriche Quad.

Biggest Regret:

I don't want to say much about this palette as I'm doing a review on it in the next few weeks, but I'm just overall not pleased one bit about it. If anyone in Australia would like to buy it off me, give me an email. Its only been swatched - with clean hands.

Best Colour Names:

I really don't have many palettes, and this was the last palette left with actual names, so it has to be Naked.

Least Used:

This Elizabeth Arden Palette is actually really amazing. I don't know why I don't use it, I really should more often. This was the first palette I ever got and I used it like crazy.

Desert Island:

My original choice would've been the Naked palette, but I didn't want to use that again, so I chose the dupe for it, Chi Chi's Nudes palette. Which I'm actually giving to my best friend as she wanted to buy it and I just don't use it, I'm so nice :)

I tag anyone who wants to do this tag!

Comment your responses below, I'd love to read them!

Keep Smiling,

Review: Urban Decay Mariposa Palette

Hey Beauties,

Today I'm bringing you a review on a palette that I've been meaning to review for a long time, Urban Decay's Mariposa Palette (Correct me if I spell the name wrong, I tend to do that with this palette).

This palette may not be the legit thing, as I bought this from ebay for my birthday last year for a cheap price of $22.

This palette to me, out of all I own is hands down the most versitile, as it has a decent amount of bright and neutral colours. I don't use this palette that often, but I save it for occasions when I want a glamorous look as I just don't want to touch it because its just so pretty! Even the packaging itself is a total stunner.

The palette comes with 10 different shades, I will underline my favorites in this palette as I have quite a few; Rockstar, Gunmetal, Skimp, Infamous, Wreckage, Haight, Money, Mushroom, Spotlight, Limelight.

As you can see from the swatches, which hasn't been edited, they are all highly pigmented, no eyeshadow base was used either.

This palette is perfect for a night out clubbing, as you can create many dramatic looks with it. If you'd like to see a tutorial for this just say so and I'll be more than happy to make one.

Keep Smiling,

Maybelline Sapphire Siren Tutorial

Hey Beauties,

I recently bought this quad from Chemist Warehouse's 50% off cosmetics deal, as I had been eyeing this for the longest time. I always swatch it instore, and I had to buy it while it was on sale.

This post was originally going to be a New Years Eve look as I felt it was appropriate to wear for then, but you can always tone down the look for a more natural look.

The quad contains 4 very pigmented shades, from white, light blue, dark blue and a glittery black.

Keep reading to see how I got the look!

I started out with using Peacock by Nyx as the base, then applied the light blue colour all over my lid. Following with the dark blue in the crease and the black in the outter v and I dragged it onto my lower lash line for a more dramatic look. I finished it with putting the white on my inner corner and adding a Color Whisper in Who Wore It Red-er to my lips!

I can see myself reaching for this palette on the colder days if I want a pop of colour to my eyes. I'm really pleased with this quad and will possibly be buying more from this line.

Well done again Maybelline for making me very pleased!

Keep Smiling

2013 Beauty Favorites!

Hey Beauties,

So 2013 has come and gone, so that means its time to announce my favorites for the year.

I found this a fairly easy job as I just went through my products and worked out what I will probably buy/get backups of and what I use on a daily basis. I'm not like a lot of beauty bloggers either who own 20 palettes, ton of brushes, 5 foundations etc. either so my selection was rather slim.

Excuse the messy looking image!
I included everything in this photo that I needed to, apart from one thing. I totally forgot my holy grail lipstick, so lets start with that.

Essence - Lipstick; All About Cupcake: If I don't know what lipstick to use, this is the one I normally reach for. Its basically the same shade of my lips, maybe a tad pinker so its just perfect. It doesn't have the best staying power as most lipsticks, but I still love it.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo's: I only included one in the picture but I love the whole range, I can't just choose one to be my particular favorite. You can create many looks with them!

Lancome Maquiriche Quad: I love to use this with Maybelline Colour Tattoo - Barely Branded as the base. I may do a tutorial in the future showing how I use this.

Essence Stays No Matter What Eye Pencil: Their black pencil in particular is by far the best for the waterline. Like it seriously stays all day and doesn't budge.

Maybelline Blush in Mauve(?): This product is so old the name has faded, and they don't make their loose blushes anymore either which is sad, but this blush is perfect for if I just want a soft bit of colour to my cheeks.

Revlon Matte Eyeshadow in Peach Sorbet: This is the best colour for the browbone area. End of story.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream: I prefer the one with the salicylic acid. I think it has perfect coverage without being too heavy.

Revlon Colorstay Whipped: This is my second purchase of this for...last year. I just love the coverage. You don't need much and it blends nicely.

Maybelline Enchanted Forest Quad: Like I said with the Lancome quad I like to use Barely Branded as the base. Its just a match made in heaven.

Natural Collection, Milk Chocolate: I have almost hit pan on this product, its the best colour for the crease if you need a good transition colour.

Essence Nail Polish - English Rose: I heard of this nail polish through DommSmiles, its the perfect nude, it really is.

What were your beauty favorites for last year?

Keep Smiling.

Review: John Plunkett Night Time Exfoliator

Hey beauties,

Now that all that crazy christmas posts are out of the way, we can finally get back into regular posts. So today I am bringing you my review on John Plunkett's Night Time Exfoliator which I am very, very pleased with. Keep reading to see my opinions on this product.

Apologies for the very crap photo
This sample sized product has to be one of the best sample sized products I have ever used. Probably even the best exfoliator. I haven't used that many exfoliators, but this one is in my top picks.

I should've taken before and after pictures of my face because I could really see a difference in using this product.

Before using it, my face was pretty red on the cheeks, from where my acne normally is, and I had a fair bit of acne scarring. Within a week of using this, the redness had faded and the scar's weren't as intense as they were beforehand.

I used this product by cleansing my face with the Clearasil Mechanical Face Wash (I don't know the proper name of it sorry I got it ages ago. I don't even know if its Clearasil.) which is my favorite face wash to use as it makes my face feel really good afterwards and it smells just delightful. I then pat dry my face and apply the exfoliator. I let that set for about a minute and a half, and I then applied a moisteriser (Not sure on what one I use, its a family one)

When I applied the exfoliator, I could tell it was working instantly. Because it stung, it really, really hurt and I knew it was a good thing because it was getting into my pores and, well, exfoliating my face.

The smell of this product surely isn't a pleasant one. The scent is rather acidic and you can smell the chemicals in it.

I would definatly have to say that this product certainly does work, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a really good exfoliator.

I think overall, this was an amazing product. I'm normally not one to say this with sample size products, but if I had the money to, I would buy the full size of this product cause thats how much I really enjoyed it. But, its a little on the expensive side, so I think I'll pass it up, unless I find it on special.

Have you tried a good product recently?

Final Christmas Haul: Lifestyle

Hey Beauties,

This is my final post from my Christmas Haul Series, this year I swear I will cut it down. I'm just one who really loves to show what she got for Christmas. I don't see a problem with it.

And I'm just saying here, I am not bragging in anyway. I'm just showing you what I got because I love what I got and I love to share what I got. I've been getting less views since I've been posting these and I apologise if I have been boring you guys. Tomorrow things will be back on track starting with an item I've been loving recently.

Also if you are thinking I am bragging and are thinking of posting some bitchy comment at all, just click the exit button. I seriously don't care.

Alright now onto the products:

The Doodle Book

Gingerbread Kit, iPhone 4, Mini Cat Figurine, Shower Gels, James Blunt Ticket
American Pie: Reunion and The Big Bang Theory Season 6
Cupcake and Grandma's Cookbook
Bath Kit
I got more after recieving this but I did not get to take a photo of it all.

But that is it!

Back to normal with posts tomorrow!

Keep Smiling,
