March Haul + Short Update

Hey Beauties,

Firstly lets get these updates out of the way. I have 3 things to tell you:

First off: My first youtube video has gone live! Check it out here! and make sure you subscribe!

Second of all: There will be no March Favourites this month due to me not really 'liking' anything. Only one or two things.

Third: I apologise for the lack of posting this month! I've been stressed, tired, depressed, and just over everything. Next month I am planning to post every single day - Atleast! Any blog post ideas?

Now lets get right into the haul!

I went to Target twice. The first time I picked up the Essence Tribal Summer Pigment in Copper Earth and holy crap, this pigment is amazing! I have a review of this coming in April, so I'm not going to go into too much detail, but I can say, for an essence product, it is highly pigmented! On the second trip there they had a bunch of their clearance items even cheaper. So I bought the I Love...Strawberries and Milkshake Hand Cream - This reminds me of the smell of some kind of medication. Its sweet and creamy, SO GOOD. I also bought the Loreal Infallible Pressed Eyeshadow *Colour name forgotten* after hearing Lauren Curtis rave about these and I totally agree, these are incredible. Review coming on Monday. And finally, Rimmel was, I think 30 or 40 percent off? I can't remember as this was almost 2 weeks ago. But I picked up the Rimmel Finishing Touch Glitter Top Coat as I had been eyeing this off for quite some time now, and I really love this and it does help your polish to last longer.

Mum went to Woolworths to do some grocery shopping, and she found these babies on clearance for $1 each. So Mum being Mum bought EVERY nail polish left. Don't blame her though, they will be good for gifts and stuff! I cannot remember each of their names though but I do know that the white one is White Out.

Did you get anything good this month?

Keep Smiling,

Review: Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish

Hey Beauties,

I never normally would do a post or a review on nail polishes, but I've been super impressed with Sally Hansen's new nail polish range, the Triple Shine.

It takes alot for a nail polish to impress me. It has to have a good brush, good formula, good drying time (I'm impatient), and last me about 3 days before chipping. And this one ticked most of those boxes.

The nail polish comes in a 10ml bottle. Which is a pretty decent amount of nail polish, comparing it to Essie's 13.5ml and Essence's 8ml.

The brush itself is hidden under the lid, the bottle seems to remind me of the Butter London packaging with the way you lift the lid to reveal the brush. The handle of the brush is pretty big and round and its easy to hold onto and apply your nail polish. The brush itself (Which I just remembered I should've taken a photo of, silly me) reminds me of an Essence brush. Its nice and big, and easy to apply the nail polish.

The nail polish formula itself is pretty thick, not thin like some nail polishes can be. Its also not gluggy - if thats even a word applys like a breeze. It takes up to 2 coats to be fully opaque.

If your wondering about the scent, its not a rich smell at all. Its a pretty neutral scent and is bearable.

The nail polish drys within about 2 minutes which is good for most beauty gurus who absolutley hate waiting for the nail polish to dry.

The range comes in 26 shades to choose from. The colour shown is Dive In.

You can purchase these polishes at all Sally Hansen Retailer and they are currently (As of 13/1/2014) on sale at Priceline for $6.95 - Retails for $9.95

I can certainly see myself buying some more from this range, I've already got my eye on: Sparks Fly, Slick Black (Can never have too many blacks), and Clam Up.

Dive In paired with Essence's English Rose

Glam it up by adding Sparkles. Used: Dior 010, OPI Save Me, Nicole By OPI Stars At Night

Have you tried Sally Hansen's new range? What do you think?

Keep Smiling,

WTW: Nail Polish Picks

Hey Beauties,

With Christmas getting closer, we have these constant thoughts running through our heads;

What am I going to wear? | What accesories will I choose? | What makeup will I wear?

What will I wear on my nails? | What shoes will be the most comfortable? | How will I do my hair?

Well this season I will be answering some of these questions in a mini series called "What to Wear" (WTW) Where I will be giving you ideas as to what you can wear and to what I may possibly be wearing.

Also with Christmas coming up, I have decided that on Christmas Day I will be doing a Get Ready with me post and recording me getting my makeup/hair ready and I'll show you my full outfit too!

Anyway, onto todays topic, nail polish. Now there are plenty of colours out there but when it comes to Christmas, its hard to decide what to wear. These are my top 5 picks that I was drawn to, and I'm also going to include some other alternatives that can also be used at well. All of these nail polishes can be purchased in Australia, apart from one which was given to me in a beauty box.

L-R: Savvy; Ginger Ale, Sally Hansen; Celeb City, Jacqueline Burchell; Call Me Sexy, OPI; An Affair In Red Square and Sally Hansen; Golden-I

Savvy by DB; Ginger Ale - This is a glitter nail polish but I figure it would be perfect over a white nail polish or a red one.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear; Celeb City - This is most likely the nail polish I will be wearing. I debating over this one and another one featured in this post. Its a gorgeous Silver nail polish and is opaque within 2-3 coats. You could wear this alone, or have red or white nails and have this as the accent colour.

Jacqueline Burchell; Call Me Sexy - This is the other nail polish I'm debating over wearing. Its a gold based nail polish with hints of silver and red. And I feel like its the most perfect christmas nail polish. You can buy this nail polish via Jacqueline Burchell Online.

OPI; An Affair In Red Square - I've been wearing this nail polish all week and although I love the colour of it, it just chipped in the first 24 hours, even when I wore Seche Vite. Which is a pity. But this is a gorgeous rich red colour and reminds me of christmas.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear; Golden-I - I haven't worn this nail polish too often, but its basically exact same formula (well they are from the same line Brontie!) as the silver nail polish. I'm not quite a fan of how this nail polish looks on my hands either but oh well!

Some other nail polishes that would be great to wear this season include

OPI; Fly, Sally Hansen; Shining, Essence; Redvolution.

I've heard that Blue is trending this season for Christmas colours, so keep that in mind!

I'll be posting every day this week, and up to new years. Then I am changing my posting schedule back to every second day.

Have a Merry Christmas Beauty and Fashion Lovers.
