Hey Beauties,
Firstly lets get these updates out of the way. I have 3 things to tell you:
First off: My first youtube video has gone live! Check it out here! and make sure you subscribe!
Second of all: There will be no March Favourites this month due to me not really 'liking' anything. Only one or two things.
Third: I apologise for the lack of posting this month! I've been stressed, tired, depressed, and just over everything. Next month I am planning to post every single day - Atleast! Any blog post ideas?
Now lets get right into the haul!
I went to Target twice. The first time I picked up the Essence Tribal Summer Pigment in Copper Earth and holy crap, this pigment is amazing! I have a review of this coming in April, so I'm not going to go into too much detail, but I can say, for an essence product, it is highly pigmented! On the second trip there they had a bunch of their clearance items even cheaper. So I bought the I Love...Strawberries and Milkshake Hand Cream - This reminds me of the smell of some kind of medication. Its sweet and creamy, SO GOOD. I also bought the Loreal Infallible Pressed Eyeshadow *Colour name forgotten* after hearing Lauren Curtis rave about these and I totally agree, these are incredible. Review coming on Monday. And finally, Rimmel was, I think 30 or 40 percent off? I can't remember as this was almost 2 weeks ago. But I picked up the Rimmel Finishing Touch Glitter Top Coat as I had been eyeing this off for quite some time now, and I really love this and it does help your polish to last longer.
Mum went to Woolworths to do some grocery shopping, and she found these babies on clearance for $1 each. So Mum being Mum bought EVERY nail polish left. Don't blame her though, they will be good for gifts and stuff! I cannot remember each of their names though but I do know that the white one is White Out.
Did you get anything good this month?
Keep Smiling,

Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Haul
Hey Beauties,
So last week, I attended Priceline's 40% off Cosmetics sale. And to be honest, I didn't buy a whole lot. I didn't go crazy because I didn't need anything really, so I only got things that I had seen on previous occasions and things I needed.
The first thing I grabbed was some more of my go-to BB Cream. Which is the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream. I had actually just ran out on the day of going, so it was a must buy product. Read my review on it here.
I then picked up something I'd been looking at on previous occasions to Priceline. The Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover. And this stuff is incredible. If you are slack when it comes to removing nail polish like me, this stuff is a saviour.
Before I left the store, I picked up another of Sally Hansen's Triple Shine nail polishes. I selected the shade Wavy Blue. Its a dark blue with pretty shimmers in it. I don't have one like this in my collection at all.
On a previous trip to Priceline, they had some Essie nail polishes reduced to $6.77 so I couldn't pass that up. So I picked up the shade....I think its called Come On? Not too sure as I haven't written it down or got it near me. But its a gorgeous red coral.
What did you get from the Priceline 40% off sale?
*Unlike everybody else, I did not have a voucher to get it cheaper. I contacted Priceline asking why, and it is because I apparently didn't have 100 points at the time, but I know that before they sent them out I did have over 100. I will be getting my voucher in May when the next batch is sent out.
Keep Smiling

BellaBox March Unboxing
Hey Beauties,
So I awoke this morning to my BellaBox, and first thing I realised is that is was here, reasonably early. I got my tracking number last Thursday (Or Friday, Can't remember which one) and on most occasions it takes 4-5 working days for it to arrive. So for it to arrive today was pretty early. 3 working days, I'm happy with that, considering it comes from Melbourne!
Second thing I noticed, the new box packaging! Isn't it so adorable?! I love it! Its sturdy like the old boxes, so I will for sure be re-using this somehow, and I will probably decorate it too, maybe. But its got the signiture Bellabox, Tiffany Blue colour (No they are not ripping them off) along with the brand new 'bb' logo, surrounded by dots. This design is only on the lid, the other part of the box is just blue. I love it!
Now for what came inside this months box...
St Tropez Med/Dark Gradual Tan Lotion. Sample:
I've heard Shaaanxo rave about how good St Tropez (Pronounced Tro-Pay) is, and I'm pretty keen to use this. However, I do not tan, I personally don't like it, and I'm quite happy being a pale person. I do however use a makeup body cover-up to cover my stretchmarks, so I may use this one day instead of that? I don't know. But this sample is only good enough for one use in my opinion as it isn't very big. The retail price for any St Tropez product is pretty pricey, but if you are one for tanning then I'd highly suggest getting it because Shannon looks great with her tan.
Natralus Paw Paw Pure Gel - Sample:
I'm interested in using this as it says it smoothes damaged skin, and I just wonder if it can be used on stretchmarks. I'll give it a go, but I know I won't notice any difference as I have a large variety of stretchmarks and this small package probably won't cover my entire area.
Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearer - Sample:
I love getting Dermalogica or Bioderma products in my box, and this one I will certainly use. I don't know when though, as my Mum just purchased me some Benzac AC today and I kinda want to use that first. But I might use this of the morning before I apply my makeup?
WotNot Facial Wipes for Oily/Combination Skin - Sample:
I got some of these wipes a few boxes back and I LOVED them. So I was so happy to get some more. So I will for sure be using these!
Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo/Conditioner - Samples:
Eh. My hair has been hating me lately. I have a dry scalp. A very dry scalp. This range of products is made for people with FINE hair. And hair that doesn't need MUCH PRODUCT. So I will not be using this. This is going into my 'Endless Stock Of Hair Products' Drawer.
Model Co. Creamy Matte Lipstick - Full Size:
I've forgotten the name of this product already, but its a gorgeous coral, red toned lipstick. It is really stunning, but unfortunatley it is not for me. I do not see myself wearing this, reds and corals aren't my colour of lip choice, I hardly wear them. But my Mum loves it so I gave it to her.
So that was everything in this months box. Overall it was -okay-. Not great just okay. There was nothing in here that wowed me apart from the wipes.
Did you get anything different in your bellabox?

Australis Velourlips Review and Tutorial!
Hey Beauties,
So yes, I'm a little late on the bandwagon for this particular item, but I've only just recently gotten around to using it. And you'll have to wait until the end of this post to see my opinion on it!
So heres a few pointers as to what this product is. I have done some research on it to learn abit about it, so, yeah!
- The item, is obviously, Australis' Velourlips. Which is their own range of Matte Lip Creams.
- The Velourlips comes in 5 shades; Mal-I-Boo (Pink), Tok-I-O (Purple), NY-CEE (Red) Par-EE (Nude) and Rio-D (Coral)
- The hardest shade to find is NY-Cee
- Is Vegan and Cruelty Free
- Applies creamy, and dries to a matte finish
- Smells like grapes (in my opinion)
- Has 10ml of product inside
- Is inspired by the city
- It is neither a lipstick, or a lipgloss
- Long wearing formula
- Doe Foot Applicator
- Comparable to the infamous Lime Crime Velvetines
- Australis are working on making more shades to add to the collection.
I have created two looks using the lip product as the main focus.
As always, I have created quite a dramatic look on one eye, and a rather neutral, daytime look on the other.
For the dramatic eye I used:
Mary Kay (Shade Name forgotten) Lavender on Lid
Revlon - Violet Starlet - Crease
Deep Purple - Outter V
Black (Lighly) - Crease
Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner (Was not intended to look that dramatic, but it turned out cool)
Covergirl Flamed out Mascara.
For the neutral Eye I used:
Naked Palette:
Buck - Lid
Hustle - Crease
Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara.
My opinion on the product:
I highly dislike it. It REALLY hard to apply the damn thing with the applicator and it bleeds easily.
It also makes my already stained teeth appear more yellow - therefore I will not wear it out in public.
The purple also went into my mouth and stained my teeth.
It takes a while to dry, I was expecting it to be pretty fast drying.
It didn't feel matte to me at all. From what everyone said, matte lip products normally make you feel like you need a lip balm on top, all I could feel was creamyness.
It also needed quite a few layers.
Would I reccommend this to anyone? No, not really.
What are your thoughts on the product?
Keep Smiling,
xobrontie

Autumn/Winter Must Haves 2014
Hey Beauties,
Lets get back into the spring of things. Put the past, in the past, and lets focus on the future.
Before I start, I just want to state a short message:
I am going to start making YouTube videos again. I made videos around this time last year, and at August I stopped. But I'm going to begin again, and link it with this blog. However. My YouTube username is totally different to my blog. And I am not going to make another Facebook Page for my YouTube fans, so I've converted my page for both accounts. You can like that here. My YouTube channel can be viewed here so make sure you are subscribed!
Anyway, today's blog post is all about my picks for this Autumn and Winter. Now, it doesn't feel like Autumn yet, its been boiling hot still, and today it began to rain and was a tad cloudy. So I'm hoping it becomes colder because I just want to wear some damn jumpers!
We'll start off with my Lipstick Picks.
For the colder seasons, I love a good darker, raspberry lip colour. It seems to compliment my pale skin colour rather nicely, but some colours, do make my already stained yellow teeth (Gross, I know) appear more yellow.
Maybelline Color Sensational: Berry Beautiful I'm pretty sure this shade is discontinued as I haven't seen it in store, and I just bought this from a lady at the market. But I love this shade so much. Its a shade I'm pretty sure I will be reaching for a lot in the upcoming months.
Essence: More To Love I'm pretty sure Essence has recently discontinued this shade too, but I haven't actually worn this yet, as its a bit glittery, but I'm sure I will wear it on those days where I just want a hint of red on my lips, as it doesn't show up that vibrantly. (On image, that was with a few layers.)
Rimmel Kate Moss: 04 I love this shade so much, But I don't really wear it too often as it does make my teeth yellow. So when I wear this, I usually just dab and blend with my fingers, and with the slight pink of my lip colour shining through its just perfect. image with it on here
OM She: Grace I have a feeling this is either a new, or old shade. As I didn't see it at Priceline yesterday. But I got this in my last bellabox, and I love this shade. What I love more is the fact that its a little bit darker than my favorite lip colour ever. (Essence All About Cupcake) and this smells so good too.
For lip Liners...
This has no shade name, but its by the brand Smooch. Which my Mum just picked up for 50cents at my local pharmacy. Its creamy, lasts for ages, and its just great quality.
Now I'm a nail polish junkie (Collection coming next week!) So I have a few favorites!
Rimmel Salon Pro: Punk Rock Okay. I totally reccomend these nail polishes. They are great. It lasts about, 4-5 days I'd say? and its very easy to apply as well. I have 2 from this range and I will be buying more.
Essie: Bahama Mama I love this nail polish. I think this is going to be the most worn on my nail:s this year. Its a perfect shade, and gold and silver can match it really well.
Rimmel Metal Rush: Bronze Princess I painted this on my nails last night. And on my other nails I have Australis' Trackie Dacks, and thats already started chipping, even with Seche Vite on top. But Bronze Princess hasn't. And it only required 2 coats.
Rimmel 60 Seconds: Aye, Aye Sailor I love this nail polish, well I love all my nail polishes, duh, but this one in particular is different to all the other ones I own. I don't own a navy blue. And this one is just amazing. I love to pair this with Sally Hansen's Celeb City. Perfect combination.
Ahh...Eyeshadows. I have a few that I will think I will be reaching.
Bobbi Brown Creme Eyeshadow: Burnished This creme eyeshadow (or cream however you spell it) is very similar to Maybelline's Bad to the Bronze. So thats the reason why I love it. And last year, that was my statement piece, so I reckon I will repeat that.
Rimmel Smokey Eyes Quad I only use the black and grey out of this quad, but I love it. This was my first eyeshadow set I bought and have used, and its probably past its due date, but I don't really mind! (How do you tell if it is out of date?)
Rimmel: Dusk This is a matte brown that I like to apply to my lids on lazy days. It applys well and lasts throughout the day, which is great!
Maybelline Colour Tattoo: Electric Blue I haven't used this very often, but I think I will start to create some smokey eyes with this as I love the colour.
Urban Decay's Naked Palette I find that this palette has the best colour selection for the colder months. Its easy to make various smokey eyes, and you can create many, many looks.
Last, but certainly not least. A must have for everyone:
Moisturiser. You need this baby in your life. I never used to use this until recently, and its just magical. This one is the Cetaphil one, I only got this because it was reduced in Coles (Still in date though) but I have tried the Thursday Plantation one, which I will be doing a review on very soon!!
What are your key items for this season?
Keep Smiling,

How To Start A Blog Part 1: Choosing a Name/URL
Hey Beauties,
So I've recently been reading a book based on how to start a blog, and I thought it would be a good idea to do this mini series on how to start one, so for those who are thinking of starting a blog can get some inspiration and ideas on how to start it.
Now for my regular viewers, you may be thinking "What the? Brontie this is a beauty blog?!" Let me correct you there. My blog used to be a beauty blog. When I changed my name to 'xobrontie' I changed my blog theme to beauty/fashion/lifestyle. And I do see this series to kind of be a lifestyle series, and it is blog related so I can't see why I can't do it.
This series will be in 7/8 parts. Depending on how I pair all the sections. I will only be posting 1 part each week. And it is not just based around running a beauty blog.
Today's part is based around choosing your blog name/url.
If you don't know what your url is, its your website address. For instance, mine is www.xobrontie.blogspot.com.au. And my blog name is xobrontie
There are some key points I have found are best for when it comes to choosing a blog name/url
Make it Unique and Stand Out
Don't make it something basic. Make it something that you think will attract viewers.
Have it something that relates to your blogs theme
Some bloggers do have their names relating to their blogs theme, this is optional to do, but don't go having a name like "Mrs Harry Styles" if your blog is about shoes. It will attract the wrong crowd if you hear what I'm saying.
Don't make your name too long, or too Common
A common name is something like my old name which was "Brontie's Beauty Blog". So many bloggers have their name somewhere along the lines of that. And to me, just seeing it over and over again gets plain old boring.
And don't make your name too long. Don't have it as long as something like this; myfavouritebrandisrimmel. A name like; danceinthesunlight is 100% fine though.
If you are stuck on what to call your blog, think of things that surround you on a daily basis.
Whats your favourite colour? What kind of day do you like? What is your favourite animal? What is your name? What is your staple piece? What makes you happy? What is your favourite emotion?
If you aren't sure on a name, feel free to ask someone! If you feel ashamed, or weird asking a friend, feel free to ask a blogger. We are all willing to help someone start this joyful hobby. The more the merrier!
Feel free to ask me questions below!
Next Thursday's part will all be based on choosing a theme for your blog.
Want me to help you begin your blog? Email me at galaxyykitten@gmail.com I have notifications on my mobile, so I will most likely answer right away.
