New Years Resolutions

Hey Beauties,

So I know I said I wasn't going to make a post today, but I actually have a spare second in my day. So I'm presenting you all with my new years resolution.

Complete Year 13: For those of you in Australia thinking 'What the heck is year 13?" its a year that ONLY Tasmanian's have and its an extra year you can do to get your certificate tick. Last year I failed Math and English so I didn't quite make the tick. I also missed alot of days of school due to depression and anxiety, so this year I hope to suck it up, and try to go, and try as hard as I can.

Be More Social: I'm the type of person who doesn't get out of the house much, so I want to try and do more things with friends and family.

Buy Less Makeup and Nail Polish: I'm not like alot of beauty bloggers who own a ton of palettes and such, but I own what I think is enough. So I want to try and buy less makeup and only really buy what is on sale. This also goes with my next resolution.

Buy Cosmetics Not Tested On Animals: I thought this would make it a bit more of a challenge for me when it comes to buying makeup. The brands I know of that don't test on Animals are Face of Australia, Australis, Essence and Nyx. If you know of any comment below please?

Eat Healthier: Due to the tablets I am on, they make me eat more. And I have gained a dress size and I've also got alot of stretchmarks as a result. I don't eat alot of junk food, but I'd just like to eat healthier and eat less.

These are my main goals for the new year. What are yours?

Keep Smiling.

Boxing Day Sale Haul!

Hey Beauties,

So this year, me, my best friends decided to face the music and go boxing day sale shopping. None of us have ever done it before so we had no idea what to expect. And boy, was it packed! We didn't get to go to most shops, cause it was way too busy but we did a good job. I went in with a budget of $150 and I came out with $65 so I think I did damn good. I apologise for the absolutley shitty photos, it was night time and I wanted to clean my room and put everything away. They will be better in the future, promise.

OH and before I go on, I hope all my viewers had a very merry christmas! And if you went boxing day sale shopping, feel free to post it in the comments and I'll check it out!

JB HI FI:

I got a JB HI FI voucher for Christmas so I bought a few goodies from there. I'm a Sim's addict so I bought some store credits for $9 each, and my headphones were on special (Cannot remember the price I threw the reciept out) and I needed them so I bought them!

Chemist Warehouse:
I LOVE when they have their 50% off makeup sales, so I bought the Maybelline Quad I've been eyeing, tutorial coming soon, Colour Whisper in Who Wore It Red-er, and the new Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish, which I'm going to do a review on.

Equip:

From Equip, I bought a cute Floral Camera, a small Gold Heart necklace, because I don't own a small gold necklace, and a cute small red ring.

Diva:

I found some good deals on Midi Rings, and I don't own as many as I'd like to, so I bought a bunch for only $5

Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse:
I fell in love with these 2 colours from the Rimmel Salon Pro by Kate collection. And they were on sale for 2 for $10 too which was a bargain! I bought it in the shades, Acid House and Punk Rock.

Temt:
Worst. Photo. Ever. You can't even see what the item is, total fail on my part. But its basically a plain white cardigan. Which I didn't have. This was full price at $9.95, but I still thought it was a good deal.

Priceline:
I bought a matte Kate lipstick in the shade 103, which I have been eyeing for quite a while. It wasn't on sale but I still got it...this may, or may not be in a future giveaway...

Valley Girl:

If you know me really well, you'd know that I have an obsession with Maxi Skirts, I love them, and they are great all year round. I don't have a black however, so I purchased a black. I think it may be a tad too tight for me though.

I hope you all enjoyed this haul! Its not the best I have given, I've got quite a lot on my mind right now, and I need to get back on track. But I do have quite a fair few posts planned.

Keep smiling,

Secret Santa Swap Unboxing!

All the Goodies!

Hey Beauties,

Yes in the last post I did say that this post would be the Perfect Palette Tag but I didn't expect to be awoken to a delivery this morning from my secret santa!

At the end of November/Beginning of December some Beauty Blogger decided to take part in Melody and Jasmine's Beauty Blogger Kris Kringle event. Which is basically a secret santa. We filled out a form, chose if we wanted to post our gift out internationally or within Australia - I chose Australia, my person hasn't received or posted about theirs yet, I'll edit this when she does - and we bought each other gifts, with $10au being the min and $20 being the max. This was a whole lot of fun and I will certainly do something like this again.

My secret santa was the lovely Jennifer who is from New Zealand. I have emailed her to tell her I have got her gift but I haven't heard from her yet! Anyway, here's what she got me!

Maybelline Velvet Crush Quad: I'm a huge fan of anything Maybelline so I was very happy to see this included in my box! I haven't seen this one in store either.

Za Eyes Vibrante Trio: I haven't heard of, or tried anything from Za before. I really love the packaging and the pigmentation is pretty good! I might create a pastel look using this palette and upload it here.

Eye Mask: I have no idea how on earth to use this as it is written in another language, but if someone could teach me that would be great! I've never tried an eye mask before.

Pomegranate(?) Kit Kat: I beleive its pomegranate, I've never tried the fruit before, so I'm pretty keen to try it in kit kat form!

Eyeliner Tattoo's: I love the cute designs on these! Again I've never tried anything like this, so I'm going to keep these as an 'experimental item'

RIMMEL SCANDALEYES IN NUDE: GAH! I freaked when I saw this, and she even mentioned I can buy it from Asos which is great! I can never find this pencil for the life of me, its so popular!

Pore Mask and Cleansing Gel: Its always good to have some of these lying around.

Savoir Faire Sample Lipstick: Omg. Okay, the scent is amazing. And it even tastes good on your lips. And the colour is nude with a shimmer, I didn't swatch it.

Mini Hair Bow: I love hair bows. I normally would pin them in my head when I'm wearing a ponytail. But Seeing as I've had my hair cut short, a ponytail just won't stay put. But I will wear this somehow!

Nail Stickers: I normally have 0 luck putting these things on, they just hate me, but I'll try again!

Eyeko Lipgloss: The colour looks really nice, I don't own many glosses.

Lollypops: I haven't had Chuba Chups in aaaaaaaaaaaages. And she even included my favorite flavor! Yummo!!

Thank you very much Jennifer for this! I enjoyed doing this!

Have a great Christmas everyone!

Chi Chi Nudes vs Urban Decay Naked

Hey Beauties,

A friend and I have recently noticed how similar the Chi Chi Nudes palette is to the Urban Decay Naked palette so we decided to switch them side by side and do a post comparing them both.

I have done a post in the past reviewing the Chi Chi Nudes Palette and you can read about it Here. Its a palette I recommend to any one who cannot afford the Urban Decay Naked. It retails at $24.95 and you can purchase it through Myer or Target.

The swatches shown have got the Chi Chi shadow on the left, and the Urban Decay on the right.
The first image has the real Gunmetal to show how accurate the colours are.

Gunmetal: (Original) This shade is a dark charcoal grey with shimmers. (Naked) The shadow isn't as pigmented and appears more brown once applied. (Chi Chi) Not as Shimmery and is more of a smokey colour.

Creep: (Naked) A deep metallic dark brown. Appears as a black in box. (Chi Chi) Shows as more of an olive toned brown. (Apologies for crap photo.)

Hustle: (Naked) A Golden Chocolate brown, with a pearl finish. (Chi Chi) Grey toned Chocolate brown, pearl finish.

Toasted: (Naked) A golden syrup/honey type colour, with warm tones, metallic finish. (Chi Chi) A caramel shade, pearl finish. (Again, sorry crap photo)

Darkhorse: (Naked) A pure dark chocolate, with a gold appearance. Pearl finish. (Chi Chi) More of an olive golden brown, pearl finish.

Smog: (Naked) Brown toned Copper. Metallic finish. (Chi Chi) More of a pink toned copper. Metallic finish.

Half Baked: (Naked) Golden caramel, metallic finish. (Chi Chi) Pink toned caramel, metallic finish.

Buck: (Naked) Warmer tanned brown. Matte Finish. (Chi Chi) Basic Tanned Brown. Matte Finish.

Sidecar: (Naked) Pink toned light brown, metallic finish. (Chi Chi) More light brown and less pink toned, metallic finish.

Naked: (Naked) Suntanned colour (Is that even a colour?!) Matte finish. (Chi Chi) Lighter, more flesh toned, matte finish.

Sin: (Naked) Pink Champagne. Nuff said. Pearl finish. (Chi Chi) More creamy, not so pink. Pearl finish.

(Like a) Virgin: (Naked) Nude. Bit lighter than my skintone. Pearl finish. (Chi Chi) Same as Naked. But more shimmerry.

Have you found a difference that we couldn't find? We found it hard just to simply word it!

Keep Smiling,

xobrontie....and Jenna :3

WTW: Christmassy Outfits

Hey Beauties,

Today in todays What to Wear post, I am throwing out some ideas of what you can wear on Christmas Day.

Now of course everyones outfits are going to change depending on weather, location, attire, etc. but this is simply what I would wear.

If you are new to my blog and don't know much about me, I live in Hobart, Tasmania, which is in Australia for those of you who are like "Where the fudge is that place" (Yes I have been asked that before) And Tasmanian weather, is not like the rest of Australia. Because we are closest to Antarctica, we tend to have more cool days than warm days. Its rare to have a day thats over 27c, and because of this I have a winter wardrobe (ONESIES ALL YEAR ROUND).

This year for Christmas, we are spending it down at my Nan's place and we have quite a fair few people coming, which I'm not prepared for cause I have bad social anxiety. So seeing as its a family get together, my outfit is going to be pretty comfortable, yet cute. But I am not showing you my outfit today! You have to wait until around/after Christmas to see what I'm wearing!

For the first outfit I put together I used a red dress which I received for my birthday 2 years ago, its from Kmart and it really reminds me of Annie's dress (The movie Annie). I paired it with a skinny white belt that came with something (Don't know what I got rid of it) I bought from Valley Girl forever ago, and this is optional, but I paired some gorgeous lace leggings that are from Country Road, I absolutley love these. I finished the outfit with some cute booties I got from Big W earlier on this year, they are stunning and comfortable, with studs at the back, and I completed it with a cute little bow ring from Target, and a Pearl necklace, unknown brand.

The main focus of the second outfit is the dress, I love this dress so much and I had to buy it when I found it in Salvos. I cannot think of the name of the brand at the top of the head though, I paired this with some red leggings from Bonds, and yes there is a stain on them (Nail polish remover.), to keep the shinyness of the top (well its velvet, but it still counts as shiny right?) I paired some shiny combat boots which I bought from Kmart a while back and I completed it with an outstanding skull necklace which was handmade.

So these are 2 outfit ideas. Of course as I stated before, your outfit will all depend on what you are doing on the day.

Keep smiling.
