September Favourites 2015

Feels like yesterday was the first of September. Next thing you know, we'll be celebrating new year!

As for my favourites this month, I don't have too many. Though I did buy some things this month, most of them I didn't end up liking. But heres what I did like...

This month I made my first MAC Purchase. I bought the Paint Pot in the shade Soft Ochre, and it is perfect! I love it. I use it as a primer before applying shadows and it stops creasing and fading during the day.

I've been getting hugely (Is that a word?) into highlighters this month and these 2 by Essence are my favorites. I also quite like the highlighter that came in the AC ON TOUR Palette and use that with more natural looks.

These 2 nail polishes are the perfect way to start off Spring. Play Date by Essie is one of my favourite nail polishes I own and was the first Essie purchase I made. And Cheeky Chap, well I have a review coming shortly on it. Although it is a beautiful colour, it dissapointed me. Its in my favorites because of the shade.

Bellabox September 2015

You know what I figured out today? It is my 2 year anniversary on my blog/being with bellabox!

Click here to throwback to my second post ever which is a bellabox unboxing!

This months box wasn't that great but I'll use some of it.

I forgot to rotate this image but, this is a Natural Cycles Ovulation Test....Not going to go into much detail on that. But my first reaction to this was, well I laughed. The box also came with a coupon code to get a pregnancy test. I'm not sexually active, nor am I in a relationship.

Another bonus item was a sample of Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E Moisturiser. This is for dry skin so I'm giving it to my Mum as I have oily skin.

MooGoo Skin Care Cover Up Buttercup Moisturiser
I got a MooGoo product a couple months back and it was okay. So I'm not overly thrilled with this but I'll use it.
RRP: $29.90

Carmex Jasmine and Green Tea Lip Balm
I've never seen Carmex in Australia before, and I'm excited to try the lip balm because I've obviously never tried the brand before and I've heard good things about it. You can apparently get it from Chemist Warehouse but I've never seen it there.
RRP: $5.99

Nude by Nature Pressed Mineral Powder
I'm excited for this, but unfortunately it is too dark for me. I haven't tried anything by Nude before.
RRP: $39.95

Jurlique Age Defying Firming Treatment Mask
Everyone recieved this in their box this month. I haven't used a sheet mask before so I don't know how to feel about it right now.
RRP: For 5 Pack $69.00

Coffee Organics Peppermint Scented Organic Coffee Scrub
This is the item I'm probably most excited for. I've wanted to try a body scrub for sooo long! And although its coffee and I don't like coffee I bet it will be great for my skin.

Overall this box was okay. Not looking forward to alot of it though. Not the best box ever.

Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Balm

Todays review is on the new Baby Lips Candy Wow Balm.

These balms come in 4 Shades (In Australia, may be different overseas.)

They are lip balms in a crayon format with slight pigmentation.

They are scented slightly, but not to the extent where it is overpowering.

The packaging and lid sits tightly and firm together.

It is slightly tacky like most baby lips products.

It is very moisturising.

And it lasts a good half hour without food.

I would reccomend these products.

ColourPop Lippie Stix Review

I've owned quite the ColourPop Lippie Stix for quite a while now and I thought its about time I did a review on them. Since I took these photos (Which was about a month ago) I have got more Lippie Stix, in another formula so I may do another review post on that particular formula.

Lets start off with the packaging. I love the packaging personally. Its not bulky, its really slim which makes it hell easy to store as it won't take up that much room. It comes in a white slim pen like, container I guess you'd call it? With the words ColourPop Lippie Six in a silver, almost holographic writing. The shade name is always listed on the bottom of the stick.

When you take off the lid you are faced with a slanted applicator, which I also quite like because it makes the application of the lipstick a total breeze. The shades are all pretty true to colour and are very pigmented.

Heres a swatch of the three shades I had at the time. From top, Frida (Made by CoffeeBreakWithDani), Westie and Lumiere (Created by Kathleen Lights)

I cannot recall off the top of my head the exact formulas but I do know that Lumiere is a Matte Finish.

Matte Finishes are by far my favourite in the Lippie Stix range. They don't try to a complete matte finish, but don't wear off.

Lumiere is also my favourite shade I own. I'm actually considering buying a back up as I do believe this is a limited edition. On the site Kathleen describes the colour to be a 'dusty mauve pink'. I agree with that and I also like to call it a berry toned nude. As if you swatch it next to a berry shade, its like a match made in heaven.

Compared to the standard lipstick (Lets use Rimmel Kate Moss as an example) There is not much product, which I don't mind because I don't - well I've never used a full lipstick up in my life. I'm not sure how much is in the lipstick but all the website gives me is that there is only 1oz.

I would reccomend the ColourPop Lippie Stix to anyone who is considering buying something from ColourPop. They retail for $5 each and most of them have a matching pencil in the exact same colour (This does not go for all Lippie Stix.)

Maybelline Great Lash; Lots of Lashes Review

I think I did a review on this when I first started this blog but I thought I'd review it again because I've changed alot when it comes to blogging.

This mascara is my #1 Favourite Mascara by Maybelline.

It is a lengthening mascara and I think is the most perfect for a natural look.

It is also great at seperating each lash and is easy to grab the inner corner lashes, and makes the bottom lashes look great.

It says and on the packaging its a 'Great Lash Grabber' and I totally agree.

It is a buildable mascara, I only usually use one coat, occasionally two.

And its also safe for Contact Lens'.

August Favourites 2015

Finally found some down time to sit down and write some blog posts. Todays post is my August favourites. I have a few this month as this month was pretty much all about trying new things. Alot of these thing will have reviews coming in the future, not sure when but I have them all planned out in my book.

Starting with my Pandora.

I got my Pandora for my 21st birthday which was on August 16th. I got a silver bangle with a '21' charm from my Mum and a camera charm and 2 silver clips from my Dad. And I haven't taken it off. I love it and there are so many charms I want. Though I am liking the simplicity of the plain silver bangle.

A recent purchase of mine that I bought during Priceline's 50% off fragrance sale is Katy Perry's latest perfume, Mad Potion. I love it. I've got a review coming on this soon but I'm going to say its the perfect winter transitioning into spring scent.

I am in LOVE with Covergirl's Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation. Its the right shade, and it looks the best on me. My holy grail foundation of the moment.

I love Maybelline's newest mascara, Lash Sensational. A review will be up shortly for this but this is now my second favourite Maybelline mascara.

The colours are totally thrown off in this image, but from top I have Lumiere, Blood and Midi all by ColourPOP. And I love them. The formulas the consistency and so much more. And I'm pretty sure these are all Matte. Well I know Midi and Lumiere are. Review coming on these too soon.

I got a little sick this month, and while being sick I used this Lip Balm by Lush. And I can just say that it is so moisturising its amazing. Though the smell is rank. This is my first cosmetic item from Lush and I'm thinking of buying more.
