Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer Review

While I'm waiting for my bellabox to arrive so I can give you all a review on it, let me give you a review on this product I have been loving lately.

Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer Review

Sorry no pictures because I totally forgot! Same packaging as the Dream Matte Mousse Foundation though!

Okay. Let me just start off by saying this primer, is hella smooth and smoothes out my pores on my skin. I only use a tiny bit (As you should do when using primer cause a little goes a long way) and I just love it. It leaves your skin feeling as soft as a babies bottom!

Its gel like formula makes it easy to blend out and its not sticky or tacky.

I never noticed longtivity of my foundation, or whether it faded during the day, but I can say the foundation blends over the top really nicely. It blends just as well as the Benefit the Porefessional and thats saying a lot seeing as that product is almost triple the price of the Maybelline primer.

The price is a bit costly. Of course, over in America its cheaper, but here in Australia it retails at $15.95 (Priceline Cost) So I would probably only buy it during sales. Its only 7ml as well so you don't get that much in there.

It can be oily - Some reviews I read on the Priceline site said it was 'very oily' but I haven't had that problem and I have oily skin. It can only become oily if you put too much on. I use probably less than half of a 5 cent coin - if that makes sense.

Would I repurchase this product?

Possibly if its on sale. Not for the full price though. (I purchased it for 20% off during the Maybelline 100th Anniversary sale)

Empties #3

More shits going in the bin, yaay!

I had a bunch of eyeliners and lipliners that I went through and decided "I don't use this ever" So I'm throwing them away to make room

This one is one of my favourite concealers and I've already repurchased it, but I think its gone up in price...

I bought the Maybelline Fit Me concealer thinking it was the perfect shade, yet when I went home, it was too dark. I tried using it for a bronzer but its too pale to be a bronzer. So I'm throwing it out.

I loved both these products. I'm debating buying the full size of the Porefessional, and the Dermalogica moisturizer is just so hydrating its perfect for the morning.

Its honestly sad to see this product empty. I loved this foundation and will repurchase in the future if it goes on sale because it is so expensive.

I got this from Lust Have it when I was an affiliate, I haven't recieved any mail from them in months so I've given up with them to be honest. But this bronzer is way too dark for me so I'm throwing it out.

I've got 2 of these blushes in 'Babydoll' and I dont need them both so I'm throwing one away.

These wipes I use all the time to wipe up while im doing my makeup. They are excellent and I've already repurchased.

This concealer was okay, nothing amazing. Wouldn't repurchased

Never used these eyeliners. Don't see any use for them. In the bin they go.

I recently bought another white eyeshadow to replace this one with so I have no use for this one anymore.

Top 10 Drugstore Products

I'm a huge fan of Drugstore makeup. I think there are some really great products out there. And here are my top ten! In no particular order at all..

Australis Velourlips:
I'm normally not a huge fan of matte lips, at all. But I must admit these liquid lipsticks are great. Theres a huge colour selection from Purple, to your average Nudes and is perfect for any skin tone. I own the shade Hon-uh-Lulu (I think thats how its spelled?) and I'd love to possibly get more.

Nyx Butter Lipstick:
I love Nyx Lipsticks in general. They (from what I have swatched) are all fairly pigmented and creamy, and this one is no exception. As the name suggests, its a 'Butter' Lipstick so the payoff isn't fully opaque but can be made to be opaque from layering. The one shown in the image is Candy Buttons.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Kajal Pencil:
Boy do I love these eyeliners. They are so damn creamy that you need to put in no effort to put it on your eye as it just glides on there. Nude is a cult favourite and is the hardest to find and I can see why as it is a true nude without making your eyes look dead. I own Nude, Black and Deep Blue and I always get compliments while wearing the blue.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream:
These BB Creams are a cult favourite and are one of Maybelline's best sellers. This is my third tube of it and I love it. The shade isn't exactly perfect but its nothing a little moisturiser can't fix.

Nyx Single Eyeshadow:
Okay so I must admit with this one I've only ever swatched the one shown in the image. But I'm in love. The white is the most pigmented white I have found to date. And I'm hoping to do a tutorial with it soon.

Maybelline Great Lash; Lots of Lashes:
This is my favourite mascara by Maybelline and I've tried almost every one and I keep going back to this one. I have a review coming up soon for this mascara so I'm not going into full detail but lets just say that its great.

Chapstick:
I've been obsessed with these lately and I use them all the time. They are so moisturising and smell great, which is a bonus.

Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer:
I've bought this concealer about 4 times and its one of the best drugstore concealers I've ever used. It really does hide the blemish and redness.

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils:
Of course these would be in here, they are for sure a cult favourite. Every beauty fanatic owns one.

ColourPop SuperShock Shadows:
Okay, yes, I know. You can't buy these in store. But they are so affordable that they are considered drugstore in a way. They are pigmented and creamy and so easy to apply. I want them all to be quite honest.

Mecca Cosmetica/Maxima Wishlist

I'm going away -hopefully- to Melbourne (When I say hopefully I may go to Adelaide instead cause I don't want to be in Melbourne with this deadly flu spreading like wildfire) in August and I want to buy something, relatively 'cheap' from Mecca Cosmetica. So here is what I'm looking at. Maybe you could help me?

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Woodstock $28.00

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (1 or 2 they both look good, but i think I would get more use out of 1) $42.00
