January Favourites

Wow the first month of 2016 has flown by. I swear we are only 2 weeks in.

Heres my favourites for January!

Primer: Glamouflauge Jane Gem Primer has been my go to, and will be in my upcoming empties as I can no longer get any more out of it.

Foundation: This one is a bit of a love hate right now. It matched me so well every day, up until I went to work with it on, and it oxidised so badly it looked like I had only tanned my face. Might have bee because it was so hot at work and I hadn't worn it in the heat for ages, or that it had just gone bad because it had been sitting away for about 3-4 months. Either or, I will probably repurchase, maybe in a lighter shade to see how that goes.

Powder: As you can see my Revlon Colorstay powder was well loved this month. It lasts, and I don't need to reapply during the day.

Blushes: I enjoyed applying Ulta3 Cream Blush Stick in Pretty Pink with Milani's Luminoso over the top. Perfect match.

Eyeshadows: Essence All About Roses was my go to palette on most days, even though I only used the lighter shades and the darker shades. Pairing ColourPop's XO (Discontinued) with Avon's White Opal Pigment was my favourite match of the month.

Mascara: I always love Covergirl Mascara's and their Super Sizer impressed me. Small brush and lengthens lashes.

Rimmel Super Gel Polish

Rimmel Recently came out with these new polishes, the Super Gel Polish. Which claim to last up to 14 days, and well, we'll see about that.

How I applied it:

I used a base coat. The one I used is Maybelline's Dr. Rescue CC Nails Base coat which I've really been liking and there will be a review on that soon.

Then I applied the nail polish. I used the red that came in this set. The box suggested 2 coats and I think thats the right amount.

Then once that was all dry I applied the Gel Top Coat.

I'll update over the next 5 days on how its going. Mind you - I will be painting the house, so I will have to see how it lasts.

This is after 4 days, in my opinion, it did okay. Normally my nail polishes last 3 days. It chipped majorly on the thumb and the pinkie and once that happened I decided it was time to take it off. It could have lasted 5 days, but I've been doing a lot of household work and art work so, I guess you can say my hands have been busy. I'm wearing the nail polish again today (the gel polish) and so far it has lasted 3 days and theres no chips so it could have been because i have been working alot or the actual polish that came with it wasn't that great.

Would I buy it again?

Maybe the Gel Polish, but theres many others I haven't tried.

Lust Have It! December Review.

This is Decembers Bag, not last months. I got a tad confused but I'm on the right track now.

This bag came a little bit late and there was a fairly understandable reasoning behind it.

Due to the train accident that happened in Sydney, their stock was on that train. So the bag was about 4 days delayed because of that. And then Christmas/New Years and with Australia Post being closed. But thats all okay cause this bag was probably the best one I have got so far. Lets get into it!

Sasy N Savy Hand Cream RRP: $15- $20 40ML
I don't usually use hand creams as I don't have dry hands, but I occasionally do. But I decided to give this one to my Mum as its very Hydrating and Moisturising and shes always after a good Hand Cream with those qualitys. It smells of an Orchid, I can't describe scents for the life of me but its a very subtle floral scent.

Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Micellar Mini Wipes RRP: $2.25
Out of all the wipes I have tried in my lifetime, I have never tried Micellar Wipes. And I'm pretty excited to, as I swear by Micellar water to remove my makeup and its the best thing I've come across. I also love the packaging of this product, its adorable.

Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in London RRP: $22
Oh my Gosh I am so excited to get this. Probably my favourite item in this months bag. I have always wanted to try this brand, more so their lip products, but still this is incredible. The shadows themselves aren't the most pigmented but maybe with a white base under them they might show up more - I'll do a follow up review on this. But I love the packaging too!

Naobay Moisturizing Peeling Brightening Facial Milk Scrub RRP: $27
Can we talk about how cute the tube is? The cap is actually wood (I think). Its adorable and I kinda want to use it as decoration in the bathroom as it matches, yet I want to use it cause it sounds amazing.

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil RRP: $24.50
I actually have this. I got it in a Bellabox a while back, and I didn't like it. But Mum did. But seeing as we have this shade, and I'm actually doing a swap, I will be giving it to Gaby (GabyRoseBeauty on instagram) in our swap which will be posted towards the end of February.

Total Retail Value: $95.75 - I Paid: $23

I am amazed by this months bag and I cannot rave about it any more. I highly recommend Lust Have It! Though I do not recommend their Customer Service. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. 3 Months and Counting.

I pay for this box with my own money. I am not affiliated with them, and at this stage I do not want to be as their services for emailing is really poorly.

10k Blog Views

Wow...

Where do I start?

I still remember beginning this blog, about 2 years ago. I did it because I wanted to share my love of products and share it with the world.

And here I am now with 10k views

Still not many followers but I don't really care.

I'm not affiliated with anyone but I don't care about that either.

My aim of my blog wasn't about the views. Wasn't about the affiliations. Wasn't about followers.

It was about a place for me to share my thoughts on products, and hauls, and what not as, well. Lets be honest...

I don't have many friends.

Therefore I don't have many people to talk to about my hobby and love and obsession.

Lets look back to my first blog post....

A few things have changed since then,

Favourite Brand: Hard to pick one to be honest as I have a few.

Favourite Lipstick: I also can't choose one, but if I had to it would be my Mac Mehr Lipstick.

Favourite Blush is still the same, though I also am quite fond of Benefit's Hervana.

Favourite Eyeshadow Palette: I got rid of the Mariposa as I don't use it, but my new favourite, I can't choose as I reach for different ones all the time!

Liquid Liner: I personally don't use daily, but it would have to be Maybelline's Hyper Sharp Wing.

Pencil Liner: Anything from the Rimmel Scandaleyes Range

Foundations: BB Cream is still the same, the foundation though i haven't purchased again in 2 years. My favourite currently is Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous.

And Concealer, I'm in the process of finding my new favourite.

Wow how things have changed.

Its amazing how far I have come and I'm quite excited for what the future can bring.

Giveaway Coming Soon!

Whats In My Everyday Makeup Drawer? January Edition.

Last night I couldn't sleep. So I sat in bed watching a new YouTuber by the name of Jessica Braun and she does a mini series where every month she goes through her makeup and decides what she wants to try more of, or unloved treasures she misses using and puts them in her top drawer for her to use that month. And I thought that was a brilliant idea. So here I am at 1am going through my makeup, and picking what I want to use more of/things I want to use up. And its a lot of fun! So here are my picks for January*.

Primers

As I've been fighting with acne a lot recently, due to bad eating/drinking, I decided to put the Australis Blemish Buster Primer in. Under foundation this is a crap product. BUT - it does help fight acne. So I use this as a base and then....

I am currently trying to use up the Glamoflauge Jane Gem Primer which I got sent in a Lust Have It! Box forever ago. Its a pretty good primer, close to being my favourite as it absorbs into the skin quickly.

Foundations/Concealer/Blush

We'll start with Foundations first. I have 2. I have Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream in Light for days when I'm just doing a quick errand or something and I kinda feel like wearing a little something. Then for days when I want a bit more, I am using up (Which is almost empty) the Covergirl Read Set Gorgeous Foundation in 115 Buff Beige. I love this foundation and will buy a backup when I see it on a good deal. I don't need it right now, I have too many foundations to use up.

For concealer I'm trying to use up the inch I have left in the Rimmel Hide the Blemish concealer. This stuff doesn't hide blemishes, but its good for brightening the under eye.

And for blush, I'm using a newish one to me, which is the Ulta3 Cream Stick Blush in Pretty Pink. Its a subtle pink but its gorgeous.

Powders/Highlighter

I use 2 powders regularly daily, so this month I'm giving the Revlon Colorstay a go, and I'm liking it so far. Its in the shade Translucent. And as always, I'm using my banana powder from the Australis AC ON TOUR Palette, I love it. I want a backup. And for highlighter, for a natural glow I use the highlighter from the same palette. Not the best but it still works.

Eyeshadows

Totally forgot to flip this image and I'm way to lazy to fix it. But I have my Mac Soft Ochre paint pot, as always. I swear by this. Its an everyday staple for me. Then I have a NYX white Shadow from the single collection, in Whipped Cream. Then for the 2 ColourPop Shadows I have XO and Selfie from the Shaaanxo Quad which has been discontinued but I love them to death. And a newbie to me, the Essence All About Roses Palette. Amazing pigmentation. I want the other palettes, but I don't need them.

Mascaras/Eyeliners

I had 2 mascaras open, hence why there are 2 in here. I am using the Covergirl Supersizer (In the Star Wars Packaging) This like all Covergirl mascara's is incredible. Review coming soon. And the Max Factor Masterpiece Max. This is okay. Don't love it, don't hate it. For liquid liner I have the NP Set Liner in Missisippi (I think I spelled that wrong) Which is a brown. Not that pigmented though. And I have my favourite waterline shade which is by Rimmel ScandalEyes in Nude.

Lip Stuff

For lip liner I am using the invisible Liner from Innoxa, I hate it cause you can't see what you've covered. Then for lipsticks, I have the Etude House Lipstick in BE104, which is nude more than Berry like it claims, ColourPop Peppermint Lippie Stick, and ELF Tea Rose Lip Pencil. These I don't really use but I kinda want to get to know them better.

*I may not do these every month, maybe every two months as I don't wear makeup every single day.

Maybelline Super Stay 24HR Bold Matte Lips Review

These new Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Bold Matte have been out for a little while now, and I recently won a giveway on Maybelline's instagram (@Maybellineau) and won these 4 lippies and decided I would do a review on them!

They come in 3 shades, Hot Brown, Glamour Pink, Peach Cocktail and Fire Coral.

Upon first application, they appear glossy, not, like a satin finish like most matte lips I've seen.

The scent is rather sweet. I can't pick up on what it is though, but its sweet.

The doe foot applicator is bent, which makes for an easier application.

I found these took a while to dry on my hand, but on my lips, they dried rather well.

It is slightly tacky, but its not too bad, I've tried worse.

Dries to a Matte finish.

Would I repurchase:

Well Seeing as I only like one colour out of them all and I think I will rarely use the one I'm keeping. So maybe, I'm not sure.

2015 Beauty Favourites

Hey guys.

No photos in todays post as there is just going to be way too many things to type and there is a limit as to what you can have in each post AND cause I'm just too lazy to take photos.

One of my aims this year is to start sharing favourites. And that includes monthly favourites. So I'm starting 2016 off with a bang sharing some of my Beauty favourites of 2015. These are all items that I would repurchase and do recommend.

Eyeshadows

2015 was all about eyeshadows in my opinion. I spent way too much money on various eyeshadows, and I think I'm going to kick back the amount I spend on them in 2016.

My favourite eyeshadow palette all the way up to November was the original Naked palette by Urban Decay. I have had the second, and a dupe for the third, but got rid of them as the Naked palette was the one I always reached for. I love the shades they are so pigmented and its also perfect for travelling as there is everything in there. From a subtle everyday look, to a dramatic night time look.

My Holy Grail crease colour this year was Natural Collection's Milk Chocolate shade. Its very similar to - I think it's naked from the Naked palette. I hit pan on it in 2015 and I would repurchase in the future online

As a base for my shadows from September onwards I used Mac's Soft Ochre Paint Pot and Oh My Gosh, I haven't found anything better than this. I have done a review on this I believe, if not I have one coming. But its something I will repurchase when I'm done with it.

ColourPop Shadows. What can I say. Total game changer. I easily spent about $70AU on them in 2015 and I'm probably going to spend the same amount on them this year. They are incredible. I'm about to place another order as a matter of fact.

From November to December my favourite Palette was the Kat Von D Monarch Palette. Its a beautiful warm, Autumn palette, and like the Naked its perfect for day and night looks. I love the pigmentation and I want more of her palettes.

Foundations

I loved the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous this year, I discovered it after I finished up my Revlon Colourstay and they are basically the same thing. The only thing is the Covergirl one is a teeny bit too dark for me but it works still. I will repurchase both these foundations but more so the Covergirl one as it is like $15 cheaper than the Revlon one.

Mascara

This one is easy. Maybelline Lash Sensational. It blew me away. It seperates, it lengthens. Its just incredible.

Powders

One powder I finally decided to try after hearing raving reviews was the Rimmel Stay Matte. I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me and now I love it and have hit pan on it in under 4 months.

I also jumped on the Banana Powder bandwagon. I'm using the banana powder from the AC ON TOUR palette and its the only shade I use.

Eyeliners

Maybelline's Hyper Sharp Wing has become my favourite liquid liner as its so thin an precise.

Rimmel's Scandal Eyes line is so rich and creamy and it lasts. Its perfect for the waterline.

LipLiner

Essence lipliner in Satin Mauve is my favourite to pair with Lumiere, and Ofra's Wine Lipliner is my favourite to pair with a natural pink lip.

Blush

Maybelline (I can't remember the name and its faded away) Mauve blush is my favourite everyday Blush for the winter and Benefit's Hervana has been my favourite everyday blush in the summer.

Primer

I got into primer as soon as Maybelline released Baby Skin. I love Baby Skin so much and I have a backup.

Its a great dupe for Benefit's Porefessional but I only have a few samples I got from beauty boxes and I can't bring myself to buy the full size, yet.

Lips

Innoxa Full Cream Lip Colour in Red Rose is my favourite red. Hydrating, moisturising. Wonderful.

ColourPop Lumiere OMG. Just amazing. Everyone needs it.

Mac Mehr, yes I've only used it 5 times but I love it to death. Its my everyday nude shade.

Chi Chi's Checkin In Has become my new daily nude. As I'm liking the matte look, not satin.

Midi by ColourPop is my favourite nude matte lip. Its not tacky and feels like you have nothing on.

Australis' Shang-Hai and Mel-Burn have become my favourites, not so much for everyday, but for the occasional day.

Skincare

Out of all the skincare items I have tried this year, my favourite brand has to be Real-U. They are amazing, and don't cause my skin any harm.

December Empties 2015

Well I haven't done an empties post in....have I ever even done one? I can't remember. But I do them all the time on my youtube channel and seeing as this months was rather big, I thought I'd do a blog post on them. Lets go!

Bioderma Micellar Water - This I swear is the same product as the Garnier Micellar Water. They are identical. I only bought this as it was on clearance (as the pump was discontinued)

NYX Colour Mascaras - I only used these probably about...3 times. And they take up to 5 coats on my lashes as mine are real dark so its no good for me.

NYX Primal Colour Shadow in Hot Black - As you can see it shattered. Will repurchase.
Essence Liner in Berry Merry - It just wouldnt show up on my lash line.
MAC Shadow in Sumptous Olive - I rarely use this and I paid like 50c for it at a garage sale so I feel okay with throwing it out.

The Body Shop Hand Cream Peach Sample - This was beautiful, but it went hard.

Maybelline Express Remover - Theres some left in it, but I've used it for about a year so its time for a new one.

ROMY Moisturising Body Balm - This was nice, not that hydrating though.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous - Current Holy Grail, repurchased.

Benefit Porefessional - Fave Primer. Kinda wish it was cheaper. Probably will repurchase in the future. Currently using another sample.

LUSH Cosmetic Warrior - Hated it at first, ended up loving it. Would repurchase.

Bioderma Pore Correcting Moisturiser -It was okay. I like the Real-u One More
