Favourites | April 2015

Another month gone by, another month to share the loves I had.

First of all this month I swear every day I have worn makeup it has included one of these shadows from Shaaanxo x Colourpop Collection. To me, these are the perfect winter shades and they aren't too dark but are buildable to be a darker consistency. I actually placed another order with colourpop this month including some more shadows and some Lippie Stix. I can't wait to get them and haul them for you guys!

As the nights begin to get colder, the more chapped my lips begin to get, and this is sounding like a poem whoops. But I've been using alot of lip balms this month and my top two are my Nivea Pure and Natural in Milk and Honey and Burt's Bees Rejuvenating Lip Balm With Acai Berry - Now thats a mouthful!

One of my favourite foods this month has been eggs. I truely love eggs and will eat them any hour of the day. I particulary like my eggs to be a tad runny.

My favourite song for the month would have to be Uma Thurman By Fall Out Boy. This song makes me want to get up and dance every time I hear it. Its great.

I didn't get a photo of this product because it lives in the shower and it was wet at the time. But I have been regularly using Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser (?) and I will be doing a review on it shortly so I won't talk too much about it here, but I'll say that I have noticed a difference for sure.

I've been trying to get into the habit of cleansing my skin this month and with cleansing your skin, Moisturiser has to be included am I right? I've used some samples this month so I'm just showing what I am currently using. To me, all moisturisers do the same job so I dont notice much difference using different types.

A site I've kinda been obsessed with this month has been OzSale. Though to be quite honest, right now I am over it, mainly due to the fact I went to buy something and It would not allow me to pay via paypal for some reason. And yes they accept PayPal.

And my final favourite for this month has been.....Donuts. I had a Simpsons marathon and thats what I think caused my addiction to donuts, thanks Homer. Just kidding I dont know what caused the addicton actually. It kinda just, sparked out of the blue.

And they are all my favourites for this month! What have you enjoyed this month?

Review: Revlon Colorstay For Oily/Combination Skin

I've been using this foundation for almost a year now and I can say I certainly love it.

Its the perfect match for me and my fair skin and it doesn't fade during the day due to my oily skin.

Its a medium coverage, which I like because I don't like a full coverage as it makes me feel...cakey.

It claims to last for 24hours, which I can't exactly say is true because, well who wears makeup for that long? I've worn it for around 6-10 hours and its lasted that amount of time though.

Its a lightweight foundation, not heavy at all which is fantastic in my opinion.

I love this foundation and I would buy it again if I ever found it for sale less than $30

Review: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Pencil Liner

I first found out about this product while trying to find a cheap, but excellent pale eyeliner to use on my waterline, and all results referred to this product. Rimmel's ScandalEyes Waterproof Kajal Pencil.

This pencil is so freaking creamy its unbelievable. You don't even need to put much pressure to apply the product. Its also very soft. It is also long lasting and waterproof and comes off easily with makeup remover.

The range comes in a variety of colours and I want to collect them all.

Nyx Glimmerstick Review

The Nyx Glimmerstick I have owned for a year and only ever used once and I can say its one product I regret buying and for one reason only. I'll get to that in a minute, lets get through the good facts first.

  • The product, like the name suggests, it glittery/shimmery. With fine glitter/shimmers that hardly show up.
  • The product is very cream and smooth and glides on
  • Its also very soft.
Only downside of it is that the product stained my eyelids, and it wouldn't remove for a few days. And having green on your eyes....makes you look sick and tired. So it wasn't very pretty.

I'd probably repurchase this product, in a natural shade like white or taupe. But not in a green.

Maybelline Nail Polish Remover Review

Its been a while that I've been using this specific nail polish remover and I thought it was about time I give you all a review on it.

The proper name of this nail polish remover is 'Express Remover', I just call it a nail polish remover because it is essentially what it is.

This product is to me the fastest way to remove your nail polish if you are a lazy bum like me. Your nail polish will be removed in under 5 minutes I swear.

The inside of the container is filled with foam and nail polish remover.

Basically what you do is insert your finger and twist it side to side and viola! Your nail polish will be removed

All in all I find this a life saver as I am such a lazy bum and can't be assed to remove my nail polish half the time.

Have you used this product before?

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Day Cream Review

As you guys know, I recently recieved this in my current Bellabox and let me just say I love this alot.

The scent first off, has the signature Cocoa Butter Formula scent. Mixture of Chocolate/Cocoa and sweet, sweet goodness. Its almost too good for your skin!

Now the moisture part of it. I always find I somehow put on too much. You really do not need much, and it leaves your skin feeling so good.

All in all I find this a really good moisturizer and I would buy the full size of this.

#1 Empties 2015

New year, more shit to throw out. I've been collecting these items since January and decided its about time to chuck them in the bin. Lets see what I have...

Loreal Base Magique Primer: I quite liked this primer, as it was creamy. But I wouldn't pay full price for this.

Avene Blemish Lotion: It actually has a long name, I just forgot it and its already in the bin so I'm not getting it back out. But I didn't like this. I feel like it cause more acne than reduce it. I don't know. Maybe I was due for my monthlys (I'm on the pill so I don't get it) and thats what caused it but I really dont know.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream: Already bought a backup of this as I use it daily and love it.

Savvy Eyeliner: I hated this. The applicator was pointy and made the application streaky.

Essence Big Lashes: My favourite Essence mascara, will buy another for sure.

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner: I did like this, It just dried up because I didn't use it for a long time....I will buy another one.

Seche Vite: Dried up within 2 months :( Will not buy again.

Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara: I really liked this mascara, I will buy if it goes back on sale.

Face of Australia Lip Crayon in Macaron: This broke on me but I hardly use it and I can buy another one for real cheap anyway.

Rimmel Smokey Noir: I've had this for years and its just starting to lose its quality

What have you thrown out recently?

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Enzyme Mask Review

Last week I went shopping and the number one thing I wanted to buy was a face mask because I just needed to cleanse my face. So I picked up the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Purifying Enzyme Mask and I must say this was delightful.

The mask claims to purify, exfoliate and smooth skin and I must say it does do all of that. I had a few zits coming on my face the day I used it, and the next day they were just about gone.

It uses a natural Kaolin Clay to cool the face during application and Papaya Enzymes to smooth the skin after application and my face felt like a babies bottom after.

The consistincy of the product was also very thick but in a good way, not much was needed to cover my whole face, and my face is pretty round and chubby. Its also white and it does resemble clay.

Another good thing I found about this mask was that within the 10 minutes of having it on my face, it did not harden. Which I found good and made it easier to remove.

So just like all other Palmer's products, this was just great. And I would go back out and buy it in a jiffy.

March Bellabox 2015

Been a while since I did one of these isn't it. I miss doing these unboxings and I get so excited when I recieve a box. Like I seriously cannot contain myself. I looked like a kid on Christmas Morning because you don't know whats inside, and thats what counts. Excuse the messy photo I can't be bothered waiting for photoshop to open to crop it.

Make your eyes pop with these high quality, German made coloured eye pencils. I was pretty excited to see The Colour Theory in my box because I've heard of them, but haven't tried them out before and I'm pleased with the colour I was given. I was given the colour Charcoal which is a smokey grey colour and I was in need of one of these as some days I feel like not wearing black or nude liner and this is the perfect shade I need. These retail for $4.00.

This amazing lightweight formula is designed to absorb oil and provide long lasting mattification. I'm kind of over seeing Avene products in Bellaboxes to be quite honest. I mean, its a good product but I swear I used to get an Avene product in every other box. But this product I'm happy with. Its for Oily Skin - which I have so I'm keen to try it out. The 40ml bottle of this retails at $25.95.

Protect and perfect your skin with this amazing daily moisturiser! I love anything by Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula. They never cease to let me down, well not yet anyway. I'm excited to use this as I'm trying to get into moisturising my skin more as I'm slack at it. So lets see how this goes. The 150g Bottle of this product retails at $14.95.

This gentle cleanser will effortlessly remove impurities, excess oil and makeup from your complexion, while helping your skin retain its moisture balance. I cannot wait to try this product by Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula and see how well it removes my makeup. Its probably my favourite item in my box this month. The 150g bottle retails at $9.99.

This leave in nourishing cream will protect your hair and leave it feeling silky and smooth! I cannot pronounce the name of this for the life of me. But its by Loreal and its the Kerastase Paris Nutritive Nectar Thermique. Whatever that means. But its for Dry to Very Dry hair, and my mother has a very dry hair condition so I'm going to pass this along to her.

BONUS'

Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation in Shade Natural Beige. Now I think this may be too dark for me seeing as I'm in shade Buff in my other Revlon Foundation and according to findation.com I should be in shade Shell in this range. So its a pity, but I might give it to Mum as shes darker than me. #I'mAPaleShit

Question. Why is there a fudging highlighter in a beauty subscription box? My first thoughts when I saw this was WTF. I mean like its handy and all but, I asked for Beauty Samples not Stationary Items.
