Liebester Award!

Hey Beauties,

Well aren't you all lucky. Getting 2 posts in one night. I completely forgot I got tagged in this so I decided before I forget again, I may as well do it right now.

I was tagged by the wonderful Lady Sapphire to do the Liebester award.

Now if you are unsure as to what this is like I was, the Liebester award is a way to get to know other blogs with under 200 followers, to give them recognition. Because we put as much effort into our blog as those with over 200 do.

The rules are:
- Each Nominee must list 11 random facts about themselves
- Then answer the 11 questions provided by the person who nominated them
- Finally choose 11 bloggers who have 200 followers or less and ask them 11 questions.

11 Random Facts:
I had a shower about 5 hours ago
I cooked Fried Rice for dinner
My nails aren't currently painted
I am filming a GRWM in the morning
I have had a haircut
I am trying to not buy makeup
I am a huge TBBT fan (Big Bang)
I actually cannot wait for Christmas
My legs are smooth
I suck at coming up with random facts
This is the 11th fact.

The questions from Lady Sapphire:

If you could be any kind of super hero what power would you have and what would you call yourself?
I'm not huge when it comes to superheroes so I don't really know what super powers there is aha. But I'd want my name to be matching, so like BB.

What's your greatest accomplishment in life?
Oh uhm. I would have to say accepting my disability. I accept the fact that I am different than everyone else and although I do have my differences, I've learned to work with it.

Do you have a hobby?
Photography is a huge passion of mine. I'd love to be a photographer when I am older.

What would be your dream job to have?
I'd love to work as a beautician and a photographer.

Who do you look up to in life?
My mother. Shes been with me through thick and thin.

What's the first word that comes into your head that starts with P?
I have a very dirty mind....

What's your favourite lipstick?
Essence's All About Cupcake is my signature.

What's is your favourite meal to have?
Pad (Phad) Thai!! I love me some Pad Thai!!

What's currently on your wishlist?
Naked Basics Palette

Do you believe in magic?
I believe in things when I see them.

If you could live anywhere you wanted in the world where would it be?
I always get asked this and I always have the same answer. I wouldn't move at all. The location where I live is 5 mins drive from Hobart so I'm right near everything. I don't like living in the city, I prefer the suburbs.

I Tag:

Mal from Corrupted Society
Sarah from All Her Pretty Little Things
Beauty and the Budget
Beth from Crazy Cat Beauty

My questions for you are:

Do you have any pets?
What did you last eat?
What mascara are you currently using?
Do you watch any cartoons?
Do you prefer your hair up or down?
Do you prefer winter or summer
Do you tan?
When did you last shave your legs? (hehe)
What are you currently watching?
What are you hoping to get for Christmas?
Where do you like to shop at?

Phew thats all of it.

Thank you for tagging me Lady Sapphire!! I had alot of fun doing this!

November Bellabox

Hey Beauties,

Today I recieved my November bellabox, and although it did arrive later than usual, the team emailed us apologising and promising that they'd make up for it. And I think they certainly did make up for it as I am very happy with my box.

The first thing I came across in my box was actually packaged separately from the other things as it was too big to fit into the new BB...err...package (Its not a box anymore). But this is the Simple Kind To Eyes Makeup Corrector Pen. This says its a 'new' product and I've never seen this before. But I reckon I will get good use out of it for those days when my eyeliner goes nuts.

Nutri-Synergy NS-5 Hand Cream was the next product. As I stated in my favorites post I'm trying to use hand creams more often. And I love this hand cream. A little goes a long way with it. It doesn't have a scent but that doesn't bother me.

John Plunkett Cosmeceuticals Glyco Peel wow what a mouth full! This is basically a night time exfoliator and it says to use a little bit each night before moisterising. I can't wait to use this as I love exfoliators.

B.Liv By Cellnique Glow and Shine One thing you may not know about me, is that I love face masks, so I will certainly be using this.

!Bonus! Compeed Blister Patches I have no idea when I will use these, but its good to have a pair of these just in case.

I saved the best for last. This month, bellabox launched their makeup line. Starting with their very own Pout Pencils. These are HIGHLY pigmented and are very moisterising. I got the shade Nuuude, which as you may have guessed, is a nude. You can buy these off the bellabox website for $14.99

This box was certainly worth the wait in my opinion, I'm going to get alot of use out of everything which is great.

Are you subscribed to a beauty box?

Keep smiling.

November Favorites

Hey Beauties,

It's nearing that time of the month again. No not that time, favorites time!! This month has been quite stressful for me and I've spent alot of it at home, I've also been sick as well. So I've used alot of the same products that I've shown in my previous favorites.

My first favorite this month has been my Naked 2 palette. I haven't used it that much, but whenever I've worn makeup its always been from this palette. See my full review on it here.

As a browbone highlight I've loved using Revlon's Matte Peach Sorbet. Its just a perfect colour. Slightly nude, slightly peachy. Just perfect.

I'm not one who normally uses hand creams, but I'm trying to get into the habit of doing it, so this month I have been regularly using Bloom's Shea Butter Hand Cream and it smells beautiful. I bought this in a manicure set from the second hand store so I don't really know where else you can buy this.

My final favorite has been this mascara by Essence. The brush is skinny and easy to use, and it makes my eyelashes look fabulous.

I've got a ton of tutorials set from now until christmas, all christmas inspired looks.

I probably also won't be reviewing alot from now until christmas as I don't have much to review and I'm getting items to review on Christmas day.

What have you enjoyed this month?

Keep smiling.

November Haul

Hey Beauties,

This month I've kinda held myself back from buying anything makeup related. Although I do have a few things in this post, a majority of it is nail polish. I've decided to stop buying makeup now unless I really need it or unless its at a really good deal. I'm getting quite a fair bit of makeup for Christmas, including some Nyx goodies I bought with Mum yesterday so I am quite excited for that. Anyway, onto what I've bought...

Face of Australia; Purifying Cleansing Wipes
These aren't my favorite wipes to use as I like my wipes quite moist, but I only really bought these because I didn't want to spend $7 on my normal Neutrogena ones I use. But these wipes are alright, they do the job.

Montenese (I stupidly cannot read the other word.) Blemish Mud Mask With Aloe Juice
I bought this because its for acne prone skin, and the day I went shopping I had a big fat old zit about to stick out on my face so I thought I'd pamper myself that night with a face mask. It worked quite well and the zit was gone in a day.

Models Prefer; All That Glitters
Okay I've never used a nail polish by Models Prefer but my best friend said that their polishes are good and I have to agree with her. The glitter was amazing and it lasted and the brush was very similar to an Essence brush, and I love those kinds of brushes. My best friend bought this for me while we were out and because she had the Priceline voucher and there was a deal for Models Prefer polishes, we got the polishes for free (Woo!) So thank you Jenna for buying me this!

Essie: Trophy Wife
I loved this colour alot. I didn't think I had a colour like this, then I got home and Sally Hansens Scarab is basically exactly the same but more shimmery. But I still love this nail polish and I plan on using this next.

Seche Vite Top Coat
I caved in and bought Seche Vite. It was $12.95 from Glow Cosmetics which is HELL cheap. I've used it. And I love it. It stinks but hey, I like the smell of petrol - yes I'm weird.

Garnier Clean Detox Gentle Brightening Foam
I just picked this up while in Glow and it says it removes dirt and impuritys after taking off your makeup, and I thought I'd give it a go. I haven't used it yet but I will use it soon.

Mode Cosmetics Nail Polish (Forgot the Shade - I will Edit this Later)
I loved this just looking at it. But. The pay off to be quite honest, is shit. No glitter comes out on the brush and the sequins don't come out either. But this was only $2.50 so what else should I expect.

Rimmel; Space Dust - Moon Walker
Buying this I just thought it was a pretty nail polish. Then Jasmine from Sweetaholic Beauty told me it was actually a textured nail polish! It was hard to get the colour of the polish to show up unfortunatly, but its very similar to Face of Australia's Masquerade nail polish from the Carnivale collection.

Urban Decay: Naked 2 Palette
I bought this from the market so I know its not real, but I love this palette. I won't say alot on this because I already have made an entire post on it.

Essence: All Eyes On Me Mascara
Holy Moly I love this mascara. The brush size is perfect and it makes your eyelashes look like you are wearing falsies.

So that was my kinda big haul. This was all collected, not bought at once.

Have you done a Haul Post this month? Link me to it below!

Keep Smiling,

xo Brontie

Review: Urban Decay Naked 2

Hey Beauties,

So I'm sitting here, feeling like utter poop, and I decided I might as well do a blog post on a recent purchase of mine, the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.

I purchased the palette from the Glenorchy Market for $15 - And before you say "Its not the real thing" - I'm 100% aware of it. I had a good look at the palette before I purchased it and it seemed pretty legit to me but I know it still isn't.

The packaging comes in a tin, much like the ones you store your pencils in for school. It seals nicely and once opened, it does not shut (Unless forced to. Its hard to describe when you are sick oh my gosh)

Excuse the fingerprints LOL but inside it comes with a full length mirror, which I'm not a fan of because I have to hold it real close to my face to apply the shadows, so I don't like the mirror, but I didn't buy it for the mirror so it doesn't matter. It comes with 12 eye shadows and a double ended eyeshadow/blending brush.

The shadows (Starting from bottom to top) are; Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted and Blackout. What I love most about this palette is that it comes with a Matte Black and its very hard to find palettes with a matte Black. All of the colours are pigmented, in this photo no eyeshadow primer was used.

The brush that came with the palette is amazing. Its double ended and has an eyeshadow brush and a blending/crease brush.

This is a look I created using the palette, I used no eyeshadow primer. For my browbone I applied Bootycall, then I applied Chopper to the lid and in the centre of the lid I applied Half Baked which gave it a golden glow. In the crease using the blending side of the brush I applied Snakebite and in the V-Crease I applied Blackout.

I'm sorry that this post wasn't as great as the others. I'm feeling real flu-y today and I've had barely any sleep. I'm hoping to be okay for the weekend when Nyx opens in Tasmania.

I hope you've all had a lovely day, keep smiling.

TAG: Why Do You Wear Make-Up

Hey Beauties,

I know I haven't been posting on my regular days but it will be changing from tomorrow where I will get back into my schedule.

But today, I'm bringing to you the 'Why Do You Wear Makeup Tag'. I was tagged by my good friend Beth, from Crazy Cat Beauty.

When did you begin loving makeup?
I really got into loving makeup the day I turned 18, which was a year ago. I went to a Revlon consultant and they gave me a full makeover, and I loved how much more confident I felt with it on.

How do you feel without makeup?
I feel naked and less confident. I have a face full of acne scaring and redness, and wearing makeup covers those flaws.

What do you like about makeup?
I like the fact that it's another expansion to art. You can be real artistic with it and create what you want.

What are three of your holy grail makeup products?
Essence Long Lasting Eyeliner in Black Fever (I think thats the shade), Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded and Maybelline Great Lash Mascara.

I tag everyone reading this!

Keep Smiling,

xo Brontie

Maybelline GRWM

Hey Beauties,

I really don't know what to call this blog, but its basically a get ready with me, using only Maybelline products. I recorded a youtube video for this which you can watch right here:

I'm trying to get back into the habit of recording youtube videos. My videos will range from Beauty and Fashion to just general random crap! My friend Emmy has convinced me to do it again, so I am! The video is not the best as I just use a little hand held camera, and I use WMM to edit. I have Sony Vegas Pro, but it takes up to 5 hours to upload from there so I'm still working it out. Subscribe to my channel for more upcoming videos!

For this look, the Maybelline products I used were;
Dream Pure BB Cream for Oily Skin, Eyeshadow Quad in Enchanted Forest, Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded, Master Precise pencil Liner, Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner, Babylips,Colour Sensational Lipstick in Berry Beautiful and I think that is all. (This is all from memory)

This is the completed look. I actually use this look everyday and I didn't notice I used Maybelline Products on a daily basis haha.

Make sure you watch the video to see how I achieved the look. The video is patchy, and the volume isn't great (it was better in editing) but we all can't be perfect.

I'll see you guys tomorrow night with my next post, My Christmas Wishlist.

Keep smiling.

Spring Nail Polishes

Hey Beauties,

So todays post is on the top 5 nail polishes that I would certainly wear during the Spring time, and possibly continuing on to the Summer. I have a huge nail polish collection, last time I counted I had more than 50, but I've bought more since then, so it was hard to narrow it down to five.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Buttercup is the perfect yellow. Its a pastel, creamy toned yellow and it really reminds me of Butter. This nail polish is pretty opaque with 2 coats and it lasted me 4 days, thats from memory.

Ulta3 Nail Colour in Corsican Rose is an amazing mint. It reminds me of chewing gum. The polish needs about 3-4 coats and lasts up to 3 days.

Essence Colour and Go in Thats What I Mint. Don't ask me why I used two mints in this post, I honestly don't know why myself. But this nail polish, compared to Corsican Rose, it more blue toned. Like most Essence nail polishes, you only need 2 coats and it drys really fast. This can last up to 3 days.

Essence Colour and Go in Absolutley Blue. This nail polish is one of my favorites in my entire collection. Its more on the purple side than it is blue. And the best way to describe this colour is by saying Essie's Bikini So Teeny. Because this nail polish is a dupe for that.

Sorry for the background change but I lost this nail polish then found it again (it ran away, its got legs!) But this is Essie's Play Date. This one is a new one to my nail polish collection and I have yet to play with it. I've heard great things about Essie nail polishes and I can't wait to see if it delivers what it claims to deliver.

What nail polishes are you loving for this Spring/Summer? Any recommendations?

Until next time, keep smiling.

Review: Maybelline Color Tattoo's

Hey Beauties,

Today I'm bringing to you my review on the Maybelline Color Tattoo's. I bought my first one (Bad to the Bronze) a little over a month ago and have been loving it ever since. The shadows are all cream based and claim to last 24 hours. And from what I've tested so far, they last up to over 6 hours. Which is great. I have got 2 colours from the Metal collection and 2 from the original. Heres a little run down on all the colours I own so far.

(Excuse the crappy photo) Bad to the Bronze is more of a brown than a bronze. Its a perfect lid colour if you are just wanting to have one colour and are in a rush, like I am most of the time. I do feel though that out of all colours I own, this one is a bit more on the thicker side

Barely Branded is my go-to. I see why people rave about this colour. Its perfect. The look I've shown in this post is using my everyday go-to look, which is a neutral smokey eye with a small gold shimmer on top of Barely Branded. This is the one I would most likely repurchase if I ever ran out.

Fierce and Tangy is no longer available on the Australian market. I was lucky enough to find this at Target in the throwout bin for $4 which is a total bargain. There are a few looks I could possibly make with this but I haven't experimented with it yet. As orange being my least worn colour, I don't know how often I'd wear this.

Electric Blue is a gorgeous navy. I really love this shadow. The thing is though, I don't know how to wear it. All I can think of wearing with it is a smokey eye. There are probably more looks I can wear with this, but like I said with Fierce and Tangy, I haven't fully experimented it yet.

So what do you think of the Maybelline Color Tattoo's? What is your favorite shade?

Until next time, keep smiling.

GRWM: Neutral Eyes

Hey Beauties,

So I know I said in my last post, that I'd be doing a review/tutorial on the Maybelline Color Tattoo's, but, I haven't gotten around to actually doing that, but it will be up this Sunday. Promise.

So instead, I've made a Get Ready With Me post. Today was a fairly laid back day. I went out for lunch and basically came back home. So I didn't want my look to be too dramatic.
This was my overall look for the day. Darker crease, lighter lid. And a light coverage foundation too.
To achieve this look I used; Essence (I have forgot the name of it) Mascara, Chi Chi 'Nudes' Palette, Be Flawless BB Cream, Glow Cosmetics Powder, Essence Blush in Babydoll, Babylips (Not sure what one) and Essence Trend Edition Lipstick in Natural Beauty. I also used Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded (Not pictured)

For the look I started out with the fourth shade in the Chi Chi palette and rocked it in and above my crease. I then took the golden shade next to it and placed it in the crease, lightly applying. I then applied Barely Branded to my lid and topped that off with the first shade in the Chi Chi palette to set it. I then thought it needed a little something else, so I added a slightly darker colour to the outer v. I then applied my mascara, curling my eyelashes first and went and applied the rest of my face.

I always do my eyes before I apply my foundation, just incase I have fall out or if I have the shakes, because accidents happen and its easier to clean up if the foundation isn't done yet.
This is a closer look at the eyes. I love how its so neutral and very wearable and it was rather easy to do as well, and didn't take up much time at all.

Before you say below "You're eyebrows aren't done!" I am aware. I do not fill in my eyebrows due to the fact that they are already thick. I've tried on several occasions to fill them in, but it just doesn't suit me. It makes me look angry and I just don't love it.

I also do not wear bronzer because I am very pale and I have had an experience in the past where bronzing has made me look like I have had a bad tan.

I know I've done alot of ranting but I had to say it. Overall I really loved this look and it was exactly what I wanted.

I hope you guys enjoyed this GRWM, I think I will continue doing these every Thursday.

Hope you had a lovely day, and don't forget to keep smiling.

Collective Makeup Haul

Hey Beauties,

Today I bring you a rather collective haul. These items have been collecting over the past...month and a half.

Starting off with the Maybelline Color Tattoo's. I have been loving my Bad to the Bronze so I picked up some more. Chemist Warehouse had them on sale 2 for $12, which is basically the price for one, so I couldn't say no to that. So I picked up Barely Branded and Electric Blue. I then found a discontinued one at Target in the shade Tangy Orange. I'm not normally one who buys orange because orange is my least favorite colour but I thought for a pink base or what not, I'll some how use it, and at $4 I couldn't say no!!

I saw this on the Essence online store and quite liked it. I didn't swatch this instore as there was no tester and I wasn't opening the item like other people do (Does that happen at your Essence counter?) and when I swatched it at home, it was a bit dark for my liking, but I'll still be able to use it. And its quite pigmented too.

From Essence's new trend line I picked up the lipstick in Natural Beauty, because it reminds me alot of All About Cupcake, which they discontinued. And I love this lipstick, I will probably end up buying another one.

I bought an Essence lipliner after seeing AussieBeauty28 talk about this ages ago. And ever since then I've wanted this lip liner. Oh! Its in the shade 06 Satin Mauve.
Then I bought some Long Lasting Eyeliners in Coolest Chic and Bling Bling. I love these liners alot. They are long lasting and have a good colour pay off too.

And finally, I bought Flashy Pumpkin, and I was so excited to use this. But this one really dissapointed me. I normally love Essence Nail Polishes, but the formula on this one just wasn't as great as the others. Within the first 12 hours of me wearing it, it chipped. And all I had been doing that day was playing The Sims 3. Nothing else. And I had top coat on and everything. I'm going to give it another go but if it disapoints me again, I'll be giving it to a friend.

So thats all I've got to show you!

Until next time, keep smiling.

October Favorites!

Hey Beauties!

Quite a few favorites this month, so I'm going to try get through them quickly.

This month has been rather stressful for me, so I've used some things I know work well, and I've experimented with some new things too.

Essence: Get Big Lashes; Volume Boost Mascara - This mascara has been a hit and miss this month for me. Sometimes the mascara comes out all clumpy, other times its fine. I'm not a fan of the brush on this either. I'm just experimenting with Essence mascara's currently, and this one, isn't my favorite so far - why am I including it in my favorites though? Because its a mascara I've been using like crazy.

Be Flawless: BB Cream in Medium - This was in my last favorites, so I'm not going into full detail about this. See my last favorites Here.

Maybelline Color Tattoo's - Oh how I love these. I have a blog post coming on Thursday about these along with tutorials!

Urban Decay: Gunmetal - This has been a great crease colour this month.

Natural Collection: Milk Chocolate - I just love this for a no makeup, makeup look!

Maybelline Enchanted Forest Quad - I have used this palette alot this month, duh. All colours are perfect. I need more May. quads!

FOA: Cupcake/Rimmel: Nude Pink/Essence: All About Cupcake - Most reach lipsticks this month. Cupcake has the perfect pink hint, All About Cupcake is just my go-to and nude pink has the perfect amount of shimmer.

What have your favorites been this month?

Until Next time, keep smiling!
