Review: Shaaanxo x BH Cosmetics Palette Review + Swatches

Today I am bringing you all a review on the Shaaanxo x BH Cosmetics Palette.

This palette has only been out for the past month, and from what I have found there aren't too many reviews on this product.

Who is Shaaanxo you ask? Well Shannon is a New Zealand Beauty YouTuber with a subscriber count of 2million +. She is honestly one of the most dedicated YouTubers with this subscriber count as she works her butt off to post 3 times a week, and also on her Vlog Channel (ShaaanxoVlogs)

Anyway, onto the Palette.

The packaging is pink, with white circles, The white circles describe the fairy lights she has in the background of, pretty much all her videos. Its kind of her signature look.

The packaging is also One Of A Kind on the BH Cosmetics website. It is their first palette to be double sided.

One Side is the Lipstick Side - I will not be reviewing this side as I have too many lipsticks too similar to this and I don't see myself reaching for this side. But from research they are pigmented and creamy. You can watch Shannon's video on her channel (Which I cannot link because I have very slow internet) Where she lip swatches all the shades and describes it in full.

The other side is the eyeshadow palette. I will go more into detail on this side soon.

Each of the 2 sides both contain a mirror, and Shaaanxo signature.

What I have also noticed is that the Lipstick side is more red-pink whereas the eyeshadow side is more white-pink. So you can tell which side is which. Incase you can't, it says on the outside of the palette on each side.

As I said, I won't be reviewing the lipstick side, but here is another photo of it. Some of the colours in the palette include a Nude, a Pinky-Nude, a Coral, a Red, a Hot Pink, a Wine and a darker winey vampy colour. (I cannot describe shades much but i tried okay?)

The eyeshadow side I love.

Though when I first swatched it, it wasn't what I expected. I think I had my hopes set too high.

It also may have been because, I don't know, but you know how there is usually a coating on new shadows and sometimes it takes a while to go through that filter? Thats what it felt like to me.

But lets talk about the scent. It smells STRONGLY of Talc (Baby Powder) and what is the first ingredient on the sheet? Talc. So if you are sensitive to scents or allergic to Talc, I would not recommend.

Once I got through the first few coats, the palette is quite pigmented. and is even more magical with Fix + From MAC.

The palette consists of 9 Neutral Shades. 3 Matte, 5 Shimmer and 1 Duo Chrome.

Lets talk about the shades starting at top left and going across.

First we have that perfect matte brow bone, or all over lid colour.

Then a perfect champagne shade, which Shannon said is a lovely highlight shade and I agree.

Then a more rosey toned champagne shade. (This one is my favorite right now)

Then a matte mustard shade, which Shannon said is great in the crease. I use this as a crease base shade.

Then a nice neutral shimmery brown shade.

Then a matte brown, which is similar to Cocoa Bear by Makeup Geek (Which I don't own. So don't quote me on this)

Then a dark shimmery brown.

Then the beautiful duo chrome shade, which to me looks similar to Blue/Brown pigment by MAC.

And finally, a slightly shimmery, slightly matte, dark brown, almost black shade.

Here are swatches of the palette in fresh daylight.

And here is a look I created using the palette (Don't mind the brows I need to pluck them badly!)
Lips are ColourPop Lumiere 2.

Overall would I recommend this palette: Yes and No. Its a great palette, but it all depends on your personal taste. There are higher end palettes out there, and you can probably buy all the shades similar to this.
