Review: Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream

Hey Beauties,

Ever since getting this item in my Bellabox quite a few months ago, I've been waiting to try it out. So while I was in Melbourne, I decided to try it out.

There are 2 Dream Pure BB Creams available. The regular, and one with 2% Salyclic Acid, which is VERY good for those of you who are like me and are acne prone. With that being said, during my time using this, I never got acne. Infact I think it prevented it and also eliminated it.

This BB Cream has said it does 8 things. Lets go through them all and see if it is true or not.

Conceals Imperfections: Coming from a girl who has many imperfections and normally needs a bucketload of concealer, I will say that this is true.

Helps Prevent the Appearance of Blemishes: Like I stated above, I think it defiantly did do this.

Oil-Free, Non Greasy: This is so true. Its hard to describe how the application feels, but it certainly isn't oily.

Minimises the Appearance of Pores: It sure does. It almosts makes your face look flat..ter

Clarifies the Skins Look: I would say it certainly does.

Conceals redness: I have a lot of redness, and that was the first thing I noticed about this, it actually hides it.

Hydrates and smoothes: It certainly smoothes the skin and makes it more moisterised without it looking oily.

Compliments skin tone: It only does come in 3 shades, but the shade I got (Medium) just seemed to fit in with my skin tone perfectly

If I had to rate this BB Cream, I would without a doubt give it a 10/10. Its one I would certainly repurchase, and I'm just overally very happy with the results.

Until next time, keep smiling.

October Bellabox

Hey Beautys,

Today is a review on the items I got in my Bellabox for October.

This month was BB's second birthday so we were meant to get some amazing items in our box.

If I had to be honest. I hated my box. I will only be using 3 things out of the entire box, the rest goes to donation. It wasn't worth $15, let alone $5. Let me get into why....

Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Diamond Shampoo and Conditioner - Okay so its shampoo and conditioner right? What I dislike is that it is for Normal hair. My hair is no where near Normal. I have an extremely itchy and dry scalp thats flaky all year round. So this is no use for me and I'll be using as a 'If needed' backup. So I really disliked this.

Jacqueline Burchell Nail Laquer Duo - These shades, Call Me Sexy and PHD In Retail are gorgeous. Call Me Sexy is a golden polish with red sequins in it, I imagine it looking amazing over a black nail polish, and PHD in Retail is a hot chocolate sequiny textured brown. Its hard to describe. These I both loved, and they are the perfect size.

Sample of Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream - I recieved a full size of this 2 months ago from BB. And I haven't used it yet. So to me this 'extra' was a bit of a 'Oh we have some spares lets get rid of them' kind of thing. And the writing, is in another language too. So i dont know whats up with that.

Loccitane Shea Butter Hand Cream - This hand cream is for dry skin, I don't have dry skin, my mother does, and I don't use hand cream - rarely.

Sample of Beyonce's Heat - I smelt this, and I'm not a fan of the smell. To me perfumes shouldn't be in beauty boxes because everyone likes the smell of different things.

Bioderma Sebium Exfoliating Gel - I will certainly be using this. I love anything like this so I can't wait to try this out.

So thats it for this very opinionated post.

Hope you enjoyed.

Do you subscribe to any beauty box? What is your opinion on them?

Until next time, keep smiling.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation Review!

Hey Everyone.

Today I'm doing a review on the new Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. I recieved a sample of it in this months Cleo magazine, and I was happy about that because I was considering buying it.

So I tried it out today and after hearing some negative feedback about it, I was a tad nervous on using it. And I must say, I don't know why theres so much negativity! I really liked it.

From what I know of, the foundation is meant to give you a natural look, not the normal 'cakey' look like most foundations. And I agree on this. It certainly does give a natural glow.

It wasn't a 100% coverage, but still with the minimal flaws (Just showed some of my acne. All my acne scarring and redness was covered) it showed, I didn't feel the urge to use concealer.

After applying this it set pretty fast, and it wasn't sticky on the face like some foundations can be. I didn't end up using powder either because it looked natural enough not too. The only thing I added was some concealer under my eyes because I'm just fussy.

After a few hours, the foundation still looked great. It hadn't faded or become cakey.

The shade I used, Natural Beige, was just a tad dark for me. So I'd probably buy the shade under it.

I definatly am considering buying this foundation. I'm thinking of buying it while Revlon's on sale at Priceline.

This is a perfect foundation, and its definatly comparable to a BB cream.

Until next post, keep smiling.

FOA Haul

Hey Everyone,

I was recently selected as a winner of Liptember and Face Of Australia's giveaway on instagram.

The giveaway consisted of some amazing lip products and wipes.

I'm going to keep this blog post short as last time I tried to make this, I had too many characters.

I recieved some Purifying Cleansing Wipes. I'm normally rather picky when it comes to wipes, but I love how these are not dry and not super wet at the same time. These are a new favorite

I got 3 lip quenches in Power Surge (Red), Nude Satin (Nude), and  Malibu Barbie (Pink). These colours are all moisterising and very pigmented. They all have a satin finish and I love them all.

I got 3 sheer gloss lip crayons and they are all sheer as their name suggests. Which to me is a good thing. They came in shades Macaron (Middle), Cupcake (Bottom/Right) and Sundae (Top/Left). These are really moisterising and last about 1 hour and a half.

The 3 Lip Liners are so creamy. 2 Are mechanical and the other isn't. I got shades Nude, Red and Perfect Pink.

The last product is the Lip Lacquer. Which, I am not a fan of. It has no colour and it really sticky. Its in the shade Morning Mist.

I apologize that this isn't one of my best blog posts ever, but I had no idea there was a limit on the post.

Theres plenty more posts to come guys, and thank you for the 150+ page views!

So until then, keep smiling.

xx Brontie.

Priceline/Essence Haul!

Hey Everyone.

I'm finally back from my trip! I was going to do a haul, but I decided not to seeing as I didn't buy too much - mainly because I can buy what I saw at home.

But today I bring to you a Essence Haul. I wanted to pick up a few items before the 1st of October, which is when they discontinued some products. If you want a blog post on what they discontinued, I will certainly make one. I'm making a post on their new products shortly soon. (Will be up in the next few hours)

I went to Priceline to mainly buy a backup of this lipstick. This is All About Cupcake (53) which is my holy grail lipstick and they unfortunatly discontinued it. Its a gorgeous subtle pink and its a shade darker than my lips so its perfect for me.

I don't really know why I picked this up to be honest. I just can't walk past essence without not buying a polish of some sort. Ridiculous. I know. I'm just about to use this so I'm not sure how it works as of yet.

I wasn't intending on buying any of the eyeshadows from the Me & My Ice Cream collection, but this was on clearance for $1.50 because it was shattered and the lid was broken at the back. So I couldn't pass it up. It hasn't got much color pay off, but its perfect for a inner corner highlight. This is in 'Always in my Mint'

And finally, I bought a mascara. I just needed a new one and I've heard all Essence ones are great. From what I have heard this one is meant to be a dupe for Benefit's They're Real Mascara. Which I can't compare because I haven't tried that mascara.

So that's it for my mini priceline haul. Expect another one rather soon, because I want to get some new products!!

So until then, keep on smiling.

xoxo Brontie
