August Favourites 2016

Its that time again, though this month I don't have many favourite items as I have been sick and didn't wear much makeup.

Why didn't I buy this palette sooner is my question. I love the Too Faced Chocolate Bar so much and when I go back to Melbourne in October I'll probably buy the Bon Bons palette. I will have a whole review coming on this palette soon, but you should all know about it by now.

This concealer is probably the best one I've come across. Its the perfect shade and it blends easy and doesnt crease during the day.

Since I got this, everyday I've worn makeup, I've had this on my face. I knew I'd love it and I do. Its Mac's Mineralise Skin Finish in Lightscapade.

Kawaii Box July 2016

Its almost the end of August, I know. The box came a little late this month because I had some payment issues. But thats all sorted now, I hope. But heres what came in this months box!

An adorable comb. Don't think I'd use it often though as I usually don't comb my thick mess.

A cute plush keychain. I can't remember what its meant to be though, a cat?

A pill case, which was very handy as I was packing for my Melbourne trip when this arrived.

A jump rope, which I won't be using at all, I havent used a jump rope in years.

 A card holder, which I was going to use, then I didn't end up using it.

Snacks! the Caramel Corn you can get from Daiso and it is yummo! The other I think is sour?

 Some 3D Stickers and Gems. So cute! Cannot wait to use them.

A pusheen sleep mask which sadly doesn't fit my round head.

Melbourne Makeup Haul August 2016

For my birthday this year I travelled to Melbourne, and lets just say I spent a lot of my earnings on makeup...not a single regret.

I love everything that I got and I feel like I got some major bargains.

I went to the Estee Lauder Company Cosmetics Store - which is basically a CCO where high end products are sold at a cheaper price - they are authentic, they had certificates in the store, and I can tell by looking at them they are legit.

I also went to Cosmetics Fragrance Direct which has drugstore products, I didn't think they were much cheaper though. But I did get some things.

I also went to Priceline to buy some NYX items, and I will probably have another NYX haul up on Friday as its when they launch in the Hobart store, and I will be there as they open.

And, of course, I went to Mecca and Sephora. Mecca I loved, Sephora, I will not be returning and I will get to the reason why shortly.

Lets jump into the haul!

I could not walk past Daiso without picking up some of their famous Detergent for Puff and Sponge. I have not used this yet - but I will keep you guys updated.

 

I picked up a backup of the Australis Banana Powder as I find it impossible to get my hands on this so I grabbed it. It wasn't cheaper at the outlet but, I didn't care.

 

I got the Essence Lights of Orient nail polish, which I forgot the shade name. I don't think this was cheaper either.

An Orly Base Coat Which was $5 which I think was good? I don't know

 And a China Glaze Fast Freeze Quick Dry I just liked the concept of this, it was around $5 too.

 

This was full price at like $5.50, its an Ulta3 Liquid Shine Lip Gloss which I don't know why I bought it but its nice!

 This was also full price, its also from Essence Lights of Orient Collection and I'm not sure on the name of this one either, I'm pathetic I know. I'm actually quite sick and too lazy to find the names of them right now.

This, I don't know how often I'd use, I sometimes can be red but not too often. So I might sell this, not sure. But it is the NYX Photo Loving Primer for Anti Redness.

I haven't used this yet but cannot wait to. Its the NYX Lip Lingere in Ruffles I think? Not 100% sure. But I want more of these and will probably buy them on Friday.

 

I bought a NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes and I love the shade! I can't wait to use it either.

This I have used and its stunning! I've wanted this for ages and I'm glad they had it. Its the NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Toasted Marshmallow. I wore it yesterday and its a nice sticky gloss.

I love the Prismatic Shadows by NYX I can't remember the name of this one, but I cannot wait to use it!

My Favourite purchase I made - Finally I own something from Too Faced, and its the first of many! I bought the famous Chocolate Bar palette and I love it. Its amazing. It smells amazing. I will have a review coming on it very soon!

I needed a concealer and I liked the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, I got mine in Fair Neutral and its the exact shade I wanted. Haven't used it yet but I can't wait to.

From Sephora, I will get onto their customer service rant in a moment, but I bought the Benefit Roller Lash which I haven't used yet and I won't for a while.

I got 2 Zoeva brushes, a blending and crease brush, I can't remember the exact names.

I finally bought Lightscapade and I love it!

I bought Soft Brown for a crease shade, as I'm almost out of my favourite crease shade.

Now for Sephora

Walked in. No one welcomed me. No one offered to help. When I asked for a product she just looked at me and grabbed it and gave it to me. Then I went to check out, and she didn't even say Hi, she just checked out my products and I paid. No communication. No 'Do you have a card' It was overly rude and customer service was just poor as fuck. I don't swear on here often but it just was. I won't be shopping with Sephora at all anymore. I did shop online but I'm fed up with their pathetic shipping. 5 days my ass thats how long its in Customs. I will be emailing them and complaining.

I work in retail and you are meant to welcome and help the customers. Its just part of what you do.

Tarte x Grav3yardGirl Swamp Queen Palette

  Today I will be doing a long-awaited review on the Tarte x Grav3yardGirl Swamp Queen Palette.

This palette is completely stunning, and my first proper high end palette I've purchased with my own money, all other palettes have been gifts. This is the first of many palettes.

The Palette is a Eye and Cheek palette, with 3 cheek shades (Bronzer, Blush and Highlight) and 9 eyeshadows. I personally am using all shades as eyeshadows.

When you open the palette, it smells so good. It has a sweet vanilla scent.

The packaging is very Bunny like. Gold with a timber like background. Its also very sturdy with a magnetic closure, and a nice big mirror. The mirror has the quote 'Believe in yourself, love yourself, embrace your individuality' printed on it.

The shades are all pigmented. These swatches are one swatch, no base, no editing.

The only downfall I can put with this palette is that it has got a ton of fall out.

Swap with Color_Those_Lips (July 2016)

A few months ago, Annalee from Colour_Those_Lips on Instagram asked if anyone wanted to do a swap, and I immediately contacted her, and from there we got to know one another a bit and decided to do a swap together.

A bit about Annalee:

She is a beauty blogger from Perth, Australia.
Shes a Mum to her wonderful son.
She is expecting a little girl.
She loves colour, and lip products - hence her name
And she is so close to hitting 1k on her Instagram, so go give her a follow!

Our budget for our swap was $70 and I think we had about a month and a bit to collect items and send our parcel out.

Here's what she got me!

Some samples. I actually love samples, gives you a chance to try out products before you splurge and buy them. I have the Kate Somerville (I think I can't see the name in the image and I don't have the product on me) Exfolikate Cream. Which I think is an exfoliating cream. I love exfoliating products so I am excited to try this out. A Jericho Hand Cream I haven't heard of this brand. I don't use hand creams often because my hands are pretty, sweaty I guess? but I will try this out. And finally my favourite sample. Too Faced Shadow Insurance I have already used this, and I actually liked this. Different texture to my Mac Soft Ochre but I did like it and will probably buy it when in Melbourne.

Two lip products. A Essence Glitter Lip Balm which isn't too glitter and not chunky either which is great. And a Boe Beauty Cream Lipstick I forgot the shade but it is a coral. I normally don't buy corals, this is actually my first. Mainly because I have stained yellow teeth due to medication I take and I fear its going to make my teeth appear more yellow. But I'll give it a shot. My lipstick packaging also came broken. Wasn't Annalee's fault. I know that this Boe Brand packaging is pretty cheap, but the product inside is good. I did manage to fix it though.

Two Face of Australia Products. Their Translucent Powder which I think I have heard people talk about. I tried it out the other day and liked how lightweight it is. Feels like nothing on the face. And a Liquid Liner this is a brush tip, which I don't like (Personal preference) But I will try it out.

A few Seacret items. I also got a Nail File But i had used it and it looks horrible so I didn't include it in the photo haha. A Nail Buffer which i will probably use in a moment. Mum has already pinched it from me. a Body Lotion which I don't usually use but I have been and OMG my skin feels sooo good. And finally a Cuticle Oil which I do have this, but its fairly old, but from memory its fantastic.

A Cherry Blooms Fiber Eyelash Extention Kit. I can't wait to do a first impressions on this. I have naturally long lashes, so I don't need extensions, but I might use this on Mum as shes been talking about getting some.

This isn't the last product, I forgot to take a photo of the other item. But these are some Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Facial Wipes. These are going in my handbag in Melbourne for when I go to the DFO and visit the Mac CCO and Cosmetics Fragrance Direct. I need to get those swatches off somehow, and sometimes there aren't tissues in store.

And the final item was a Lush Lipstick and I cannot wait to use this. I haven't tried Lush Cosmetic products. I forgot what shade she got me, but its a wearable pink shade.

PROJECT PAN! (July-Oct 2016)

I know, I know. Its August. But I kind of started this like, 2 weeks ago? So its not too late.

But if you don't know I've been having computer issues, hence why my blog is lacking a bit. My computer decided not to charge one day, fixed that problem. Then it had a fit and decided not to work. My hardrive is saved (Thanks Dad!) thank goodness so I don't have to retake photos for over 20 planned posts, and I should be getting my laptop back tonight. I'm currently just typing this on the main family computer, which I think I prefer. But I can only use online editors and I prefer Photoshop.

But! I have decided that seeing as I'm heading to Melbourne (August 16th-18th and October 11th I think? [Long story as to why there is 2 trips, we accidentally booked twice and its too much hassle cancelling and paying cancellation fees etc.]) and I was like, "When I'm in Melbourne, I'm going to buy makeup, for sure, and right now I really don't need makeup. So lets save and try use stuff up and not spend money....or try not to". So thats when I decided to set a Project Pan in place. I had more products in my PP but I've already finished them up. (Maybelline Baby Skin, Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous and Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light.) But these are products i want to use up, or atleast get more use out of it. Enough blabber, lets get into it!

I am wanting to finish up, actually 4 powder products. Totally forgot about the other blush until just now. I am wanting to use up the Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder in Light. I have about half left. So I can probably do it. Actually. Positive thinking. I can do it. 

I have just hit pan on my Australis Banana Powder and I have told myself now that if I do find another one I can repurchase as I find it hard to actually, find one. I said the word find too much. Find.

The Maybelline Mineral Powder in Soft Mauve is so old. Its about 5 years old and I should throw it out, but the texture seems fine and it doesn't smell odd at all. But if its not finished up by mid October (Which is when I will be ending this PP) Its going in the bin

The blush not shown is Benefit's Hervana. Its one of my favorite blushes and when I'm done with it I will repurchase it as its a versatile blush and goes well with anything.

For lips, I probably have more lips I could use up, but these are the mains.

Colour By TBN in The Red Shade I don't know the name as I haven't used this yet, and I want to. I love red on me. But I feel like I don't use them often but I look good in red. So I won't finish this up, but I want to use it.

ColourPop Lumiere Lippie Stix the amount shown in the picture is all I have left. Not much so I have hopes I will finish it. I also have a backup of this too as it is a favorite.

ColourPop Ultra Matte in Midi I'm probably just about finished with this, but I love this shade. It fades nice on my and isn't patchy, and once this is empty I'll probably repurchase even though CP shipping sucks.

Okay, lets try remember all these.

I will for sure use up XO as its almost gone. And maybe Selfie and Bill. I love CP Super Shock Shadows and I want to buy more but I'm not purchasing until I finish up some items.

This image is so boring. This is my holy grail shadow I use each day, it's Natural Collection Shadow in Milk Chocolate it will be finished by October for sure.

My favourite mascara the Maybelline Lash Sensational will be done by October. I've been using it for about a month and a half. I usually use mascaras longer that the 'use by' date as I just usually use it until its dried out or it doesn't apply as well as it does.

I don't want to use up these shadows. I just want to use my ZPalette more than I do. And I think the whole reason why I don't use it is due to the fact the colour selection isn't amazing. And I do want to add more. From the Left we have some shadows from the Original Urban Decay Naked Palette. Then we have Coastal Scents Deep Roast, next to that is probably my favourite, Makeup Geek Boo Berry and then Revlon Peach Sorbet.

I will keep you all updated on how I'm going each month. And yeah, I'm so excited to get more use out of these products! Lets go!

Lust Have It! July 2016

This months Lust Have It! Arrived a little bit later than usual, due to the fact they were still waiting on an item to arrive. The team emailed everyone and told them about this situation which I thought was excellent and not leave everyone wondering where it was.

I must say though, I am so impressed with this months bag. First off, they changed the colour of the bag! Its black! Normally its pink and pretty repetitive and I don't like it really. But I love the black one. Mainly because I love anything black.

This months bag is purely makeup based, which I like. It has one skincare item but thats fine. And everything in this bag is full size too!

Lets start off with the only skincare item, which I feel fits in so well with this bag. Before you put on your makeup you want to have a clean face. So they put in this Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals, The Masquerade Artisan Mask in Cherry Blossom and Argan Oil. What a mouth full. I love Essenzza products and was stoked to get this and I will be using this tonight. Follow my instagram (xobrontie) to see it on!

Okay, this mascara has the most stunning packaging. It kind of reminds me of the Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Lipstick packaging. The mascara is by Teeez Cosmetics which we have got in the past, and is from the Desert Metals Collection. I will be filming a tutorial using this tomorrow and another product in this post. Oh and its blue!

This eyeshadow is giving me life. I wasn't so excited for it when I saw it but it is soooo creamy! And swatches so well as you can see in the photo. Its the Gosh Cosmetics Matt Duo Eyeshadow Not sure on what exact shade this is though as I can't find anything but its rose toned.

This Jelly Pong Pong Product I feel like I've heard of the brand before. The packaging is very cheap but I might use this as a lip balm as I wouldnt wear this out, as I don't like pinks on me. This was a mystery item so after research this retails for $15.00

Okay. This item confuses me. Its a Blush by MPrincess. How is this a blush when it is so damn orange and shimmery. And as you can see by the size of my hand it is tiny, and it is full size. I'm so confused. But I will use this an eyeshadow.
