Blog Schedule Change (Temporary)

So I'm starting a mini series on my blog which goes through my makeup collection. I've recently cleaned it out, and theres alot to see.

My mini series will be on my blog each Thursday. Starting with Nail Polishes this Thursday.

On Tueday it will be other posts, being reviews, unboxings, favourites, first impressions, whatever else.

This coming Tuesday will be my February Favourites - though there might not be any photos because I forgot, hehe.

So yeah, it won't be permanent, just until this mini series is over, which I don't know how long that will be for.

Grammys Best and Worst Dressed (In my opinion)

First things first - I am no fashion guru. I'm not up to date with trends, I tend to just wear whatever the hell I feel like and I like what I like etc. I am however wanting to start including more fashion into my blog and I thought this was a nice way to start.

Second of all. Small rant. I was looking on InStyles article on the Grammys Red Carpet, and don't go there if you want to know designers name. All they had was 'Taylor Swift in a Dress'.....WHOS THE DESIGNER?

Anyway, heres my thoughts on some outfits.

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift.

I loved Selena's whole look, from the makeup to the dress to the hair, it was so well put together. Taylor however, I don't know how I feel about her outfit, I like it, but I don't quite love it. Probably because I'm not used to seeing Taylor in more punchy, bright colours. But I am quite loving her new do.

Bella Hadid
She looks stunning in this. I don't know what else to say (Mainly cause im freezing my butt off right now, Hobarts got this sudden cold front in the middle of Summer.) I love her dress and the cut outs.

Ariana Grande
Usually I'm not a fan of her outfits whatsoever because they are just so typical and you kinda expect it. But I actually love this dress on Ariana. And the smokey eye? Perfect.

Zendaya

What? Seriously when I scrolled past her look I had to double take because I thought it was Justin Bieber. Like, Zendaya, normally your looks are top notch and I love them but, what the hell?

Meghan Trainor

Her new hair? I don't like, she looks way older than she is. And that dress, I don't like on her either. I don't mind the shoes.

Brand Wishlist #1 - ColourPop Cosmetics

You should all know by now, how much I love Colour Pop. Yes their shipping to Australia may be extreme to some, but in my opinion, I don't mind paying so much. If the product is going to be brilliant and make me a returning customer, I honestly don't mind. I just feel as if I'm paying more to the product.

Anyway, seeing as I'm on a spending ban, I thought I'd conduct a list of things that I want from brands and such. Starting off with Colour Pop. Watch out, this is gonna be a long one.

Super Shock Shadows

Beverly: My goodness this looks gorgeous. I think this is from the Kae Pop Collab but I'm not too sure. Its a beautiful burgandy, though the site describes it as a blackberry. Kinda the same thing I guess.

Crenshaw: Again I think this is from the Kae Pop Collab, its a matte finish, 'saddle brown' as described on the site.

KathleenLights: I love gold toned shadows, even though Silver is my preffered choice. This is a gorgeous golden copper and I need it in my life.

Girly: Now this one just sounds gorgeous. Creamy vanilla with a flash of pink and gold duo chrome. DONE.

I Heart This: Everyone has this so I must jump on the bandwagon. Silvery taupe with multicolour glitter. Um, yes please.

Nillionaire: Get in my life please. Warm bronze with gold and multicoloured shimmers.

Sugar: Reminds me of mermaids. Metallic silvery blue

Metamorphosis Quad: Dani did a great job with this quad. All shades are up my alley and I need it.

Lippie Stix

LBB: I need this. Just. Yeah. Need it.

Grunge: Mainly need it because of the name but its a gorgeous shade.

Ultra Matte Lips

Lumiere 2: I love Lumiere, I swear by it. And I need it in ultra matte form.

Bad Habit: The description is me. Its a mauve.

More Better: Its a wine. I need it.

Liners

Swerve: Black

Piggy Bank: Violet

Stomper: Brown

Spending Ban

Okay so I've decied to go on another spending ban.

This ban will consist from now until the beginning of April unless otherwise stated.

I cannot purchase ANY kind of makeup - skincare is fine as i need to stock up on products.

The only makeup products i can purchase are the Too Faced Bon Bons bar and the Peanut Butter and Jelly palette as I have been saving for them since i heard they were coming to australia, and i see them as mini rewards during the ban.

IF I use up a makeup product (which, is rare but I'm close to finishing some items) I can reward myself in buying another item.

I can buy items if they are on clearance if i NEED the item.

I can buy makeup for others, not for myself.

If I think of any more rules I will add them to this list. (I am writing this on mobile currently.)

Lust Have It January 2016

Better late than never, right?

This month's bag was actually pretty good, and I can see myself using everything that came inside. 3 full size products and 2 deluxe sized samples. Lets get into it!

For the deluxe sized samples we got 2 Skin Yoga products. One being a Almond Orange Face Scrub (Full Size retails at $24) and the other being a Sandalwood Saffron Face Mask (Full Size retails at $24) and out of the two I'm excited to use the face mask. These are both activated by water and the face scrub can be used as a mask. You can buy the deluxe sized samples off the website for $4.20 each, and I'd say you can get, 2 uses maybe 3 out of it.

The first full size product we got was the Unani Micellar Water - do I need anymore Micellar Water bottles? Probably not. I've got like 4 of them. But I like to try new ones and see which one is the best. A review on my top 5 micellar waters would be interesting...This retails for $22.50 which is rather expensive for a Micellar water seeing as you can get them for around $15 these days.

The two makeup products we got this month are both by the brand Hikari, which I have heard of, but never tried. The first item is the Hikart Blush is in the shade Bikini, which kind of reminds me of Nars' Orgasm blush, but I've never swatched it so I can't compare. The blush is pretty pigmented and retails for $21. The lip crayon is in the shade Mochahitto, which isn't a shade name on the list of what we get on the sheet, so I don't know if they just ran out of options or if its a typo. But its a nice coffee colour. Not sure if it will suit me but we shall see. This retails for $18

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Review

I'm a little late to jump on the bandwagon for this product, but I was after a new concealer and everyone suggested this one, so I bought it, in a shade too dark, but it still works, and this is what I thought about it!

Packaging: First off, it reminds me a lot of Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, is it the same product? I'd have no idea as I haven't tried anything by Nars before.

Applicator: Its standard for any other concealer, doe foot applicator.

Coverage: Its a medium coverage, probably can be built to a full though as it is fairly thick.

It is excellent under the eyes, on acne, I can't say as I wouldn't use a doe foot on my acne as it can carry the germs onto the applicator and transfer around the face.

Would I Repurchase?

Yes. In the right shade. This shade is basically the same as my foundation so I just need lighter, as for concealer you go for lighter than your foundation.

Essence: Happy Girls Are Pretty Collection Review

Essence just released a new collection, called the 'Happy Girls Are Pretty' Collection. According to their site this collection is all about enhancing natural beauty and showcasing natural and pastel shades.

This collection is available through Priceline in January-February (Unsure of dates) 2016.

This collection consists of 2 Eyeshadow Palettes, 2 Ultra Slim Eye Pencils, 2 Sheer Lipbalms, A Multi-Coloured Blush, A Contour/Highlight Kit, 6 Nail Polishes and a Nail File.

I purchased a few of the products in the collection and heres my review on each of the products!

Starting off with the nail polish, I didn't realise until I got back home that the formula of this nail polish is a Matte formula. I highly dislike Matte Formula's as to me the chip faster and I don't like the overall finish. But as you can see in this photo, I gave it a go, but I topped it with a Gel Polish (Also by Essence) to see how long it would last. And honestly, I wasn't impressed. Probably within the first 12 hours it chipped, and it just peels off. I even wore a base coat. So I wasn't impressed by it. The only good thing about it is the shade, which is in 'Happy Girls Rock' which is a silver/purple/taupe shade. I can't describe it. But its different. The nail polishes cost $3.70 AU Which is pretty good.

For the Eyeshadow Palette, its a hit and miss situation with it. Some shades are better than others. This photo was done with heavy swatches, and as you can see they have a fair bit of fall out. I haven't fully 100% played around with it but from what I can tell with a good primer they will last a while. The price for this palette is a bit over priced in my opinion.  It is $7.15 for 5 shades, which considering their 'All About...' Collection has 8 Shades and is only $8.20 I think it could have been around the $6.30 mark. This palette is in the name 'Happiness Is...Following Your Heart'.

The Eyeliner....I hated this. It breaks like no tomorrow. Its so thin that with the smallest amount of pressure it breaks. And there isn't much product inside. I used this all up in one go because it broke so easily. If it was thicker it would be okay but its just too thin! Again I feel these are over priced because you don't get too much product and it breaks easy. This cost me $4.10 but I think it could have been around $3.50. I got mine in the shade 'The Choco Side of Life'.

The sheer lipbalm has to be my favourite. Its moisturising (A Little) And it lasts for about an hour, maybe more. Depending on what you are doing. And as you can see by the swatch, for a 'sheer' product, its quite pigmented! And thats just one swatch too. This is in the shade 'Pretty You!'. The other shade didn't have much colour to it. The price for this product is pretty good too at $4.70.

Would I recommend this collection?

I'd say get the palette and definatley the lip balm. The lip balm is one of my favourite products right now.

Overall:

I think its a little overpriced, but its okay.

Chi Chi Palettes Review: Pretty, Bronzes and Spices

If you know me, I love Chi Chi Products. They are a brand I am slowly beginning to discover and they are yet to let me down. The company is so sweet and friendly and they are always coming out with new amazing products that you don't see very often in the drugstore. These 3 palettes I got over Christmas, one I paid for, the others were gifts. And I love them all. Here are some mini reviews on them all!

Spices is the Palette I paid for. I have been looking for this everywhere and its always been out of stock. So when I saw it, I didn't care on the price I just NEEDED it. This palette is so freaking gorgeous, I mean, look at those shades! I am yet to play with it on my eyes but I know this palette is easily a new favourite.

Pretty is the Palette I got from Mum for Christmas and when I got it, to be honest, I loved it, but I wasn't sure how much use I'd get out of it. Its beautiful for summer and spring, but for the other seasons, I don't know. I'm wearing it today and it blends like a dream and its very pigmented, some shades more than others.

Bronzes I got from my Auntie for Christmas and this is equally my favourite with Spices. These two palettes I feel were made for each other. And they need a child.

Chi Chi Palettes retail for $22.95 (I think) and they are worth the money.

You can buy online and they ship worldwide.

In Australia they are available at Myer and Target.

In New Zealand I believe you can get them at Farmers.

January Empties 2016

I actually had quite a fair few empties this month, but I went through them all and picked out the ones I actually had something to say about. So here they are. For the full video on what I threw out, please see my youtube.

Lush: Yuzu and Cocoa Bath Melt(?)
I think this was a bath melt, not too sure. But this stuff, Holy Cow. If you're wanting to feel relaxed, this stuff works. I took it after having a bad day and I felt so much better after being in the bath and I think it was this that helped. It is now permanent in the Shower Gel line, and to be honest, the shower gel isn't that great as the bath product.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream
I used to love this stuff and I still do, but, I don't know. I feel as if its too thin? When I would like more coverage. I might buy it again if it comes on sale.

Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous
This shade was fine at the beginning. Then after a month of me not using it, it has gone all orange on me. So I'm thinking of buying it in the shade 110 - WHICH you can only get from the states. But I found a seller on Ebay that has reasonable shipping and a reasonable foundation price. I think it was $20 all up? Which is damn good. So I'm thinking of buying it, not too sure at this stage.

Red Earth Lipgloss
One word. Hated this. I wore it once and the next day I broke out all around my lips. So I did some research and this product contains LEAD, which is not meant to be used around the lips as it can cause some people to break out. So it went in the bin.

Glamouflauge Jane Gem Primer
I quite enjoyed this primer, it smoothed my skin and made foundation application easy. But the packaging is horrible. I have probably another...5-10ml left in it that I can't get out.

Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Wipes
I love these wipes over my Wot Not ones. These remove everything, and they exfoliate and cleanse at the same time. Amazing product.

Lush Snow Fairy
This was my first bottle EVER of this and OMG. LOVE. I have another 3 bigger bottles to go through of this and I'm buying more in July as I heard they are coming out with it again for XMAS in July!
